J’s Cranberry Burger — Restaurant in Kamakura

The burgers were tasty. The service was terrible in our experience. We were 10 and arrived 1h before closing. They still said it was okay, but that they only could do 8 burgers. We agreed to come in anyway. All food came one by one, some long after the others were finished. The kitchen is really small and they can't handle many orders at the same time. 15min after we ordered, the waiter came and said that there has been a mistake and they could only make 7 burgers and one without the bun. Still, we said it was no problem. They said that they would get me something on the house as an apology. After I had rejected the free dessert, because all of us were full, they didn't want to give the free drink, because it was too expensive (700¥). Why offer if you can't keep up with your promise? Then they asked if we wanted to pay together or separately. We wanted it separately, but it was not possible. So why ask? 😂 In the end, we were just really annoyed by all the errors and that the boss would send the waiter all the time to talk, although she was making all the decisions. We felt really sorry for him. Really bad management and service. Just a personal experience though. The food was quite tasty,...

We were alone, it took them 20 minutes to serve the burgers (we ordered 3) The patty is 100g and if you order extra they dont put it on the burger they serve it on the side and serve it after 3 minutes, and it was cooked differently than the first one I ordered...really who does that?? They barely know any english which is frustrating but pretty common in Japan in general... They also forgot to give me the fried...

The cafe is very cute. We liked the seasonal basque cheesecake. Also the cranberry soda wasn't too sweet which is a plus. As for the service, it was very friendly, but I didn't like that the waitress was not cleaning after the guests right away.
