Visited in July 2025 The one-stop place for travelers visiting Kumamoto. Lots of eateries, including a few izakayas, as well as Kumamon souvenir shops. Some of the items sold by the eateries and even souvenir stall are quite unique like horse meat dishes. There is a coin locker at the back of the food market. If you somehow don't too fancy Kumamon and want to find other more normal items, an AMU mall is located directly next door.

I went here to try to find souvenirs. They have a souvenir shop with several Kumamon items plus nicely packaged food souvenirs. The Family Marts in this plaza also have some souvenirs as well. There are a lot of food choices if you are hungry. It smelled so good but we did not eat since we had already eaten at Asu Plaza before we came.
