Haru — Restaurant in Nara

Beautiful restaurant just a few streets over from nara park. Far enough away from the main street that it wasn’t packed with tourists. The restaraunt is in a beautiful japanese traditional styled building with a lovely outdoor garden. Staff were so helpful and polite. We ordered baked curry’s and a ginger ale for lunch both of which were delicious. The baked curry was one of the nicest meals we’ve had in Japan just delicious flavoursome and wholesome. Whenever I come to Nara, I go to this restaurant. The staff is very friendly, they speak English, and the menu is also in English. The place has a very pleasant traditional aesthetic, and above all, the food is delicious!

I recommend their curry, the best I’ve had in Japan!

The price is a bit higher than in other places, but the quality is also superior.

ならまちに、今は幻となったミシュラン奈良に掲載された洋食店がありまして。 そりゃミシュランさん入るわって名店なことを確認してきたわけなんですけど。

姉妹店のカフェにも行きましてん。

本店の『洋食 春』は、休日のゴールデンタイムなら10人待ちとか当たり前の超人気店。 cafe春のほうは、比較的待ちなしで入れますよってweb情報。 歩いて２分くらいなので、洋食春さんにふられたときの保険にもなりそう。

cafe春も古民家を改装した造り。 赤い格子や壁などは遊郭をイメージしているそうです。ならまちにもあったと聞いたことがありますが、関連は不明。

高い天井とふかふかソファがお気に入り。

「焼きカレーと皿盛りデザートのお店」てことで、メニューはがっつりランチからがっつり甘いのまで。 焼きカレーはオーナーの出身、北九州･門司の名物みたいです。

なんとなくメニュー写真からボリュームが見て取れてましたが、注文してやはりでした。

そしてどちらも、丁寧に作られていることが伝わるお料理。 洋食 春さんでもそうだったんですが、素材も良いものをお使いな気がします。 野菜も果物も、新鮮で、甘みがあって。

webで価格設定強気の店、みたいな書き込み見て来ました。 でもこれだけのクオリティのもの、このボリュームで出すんやで？逆に安いと思いますが。
