Yasui shrine is located in the very quiet part of the neighborhood. Although a bit unkept, lots of cute stray cats roam the property and are calm towards visitors! Sadly the reception desk was closed when I visited, but I still got to give my prayers here and see the tiger statues others have been talking about. 四天王寺の鎮守社で四天王寺七宮のひとつとして聖徳太子によって創建された。 四天王寺の乾の方角にあることから「乾の社」と呼ばれる。 神社には狛虎が有ります、狛虎の由来は不詳で300年以上前の作と考えられている。 歴史ある古い神社で静寂が癒される。

It is Shitennoji Temple's Chinju-sha shrine (Shinto shrine on Buddhist temple grounds dedicated to the tutelary deity of the area), founded by Prince Shotoku as one of the Shitennoji Temple shichinomiya (seven shrines of Uji). Because it is located in the direction of Inui in Shitennoji Temple, it is called "Inui no Yashiro". There is a Komatora in the shrine. 愛染堂勝鬘院に向かう途中、地図を見て百歳の階段が目に止まり気になって通りました。 大江神社にももちろん参拝しました。 階段を登っている時に何とも不思議な気持ちになるような空間でした。 人が少なくとても落ち着いて和める境内でした。
