Umeda: Shopping Hub and Train Hub
Picture don’t do justice as to how impressive this connection hub is. Shopping malls like Daimaru, Lucua, Hanshin, Hankyu, Whity etc are all within walking distance to the station.
The architecture of the station and all the shopping malls are breathtaking. You can get hypnotised by simply overlooking all the platforms and see how quickly everything moves :)
Because of the interconnectedness, I doubted if you will get wet as everywhere is sheltered in the area. If you are hungry and have a finite budget for dining, do consider grabbing bentos or express foods from boutiques by the supermarket in the department stores! Read moreI grew up in Osaka and I’d say grew up with this Hankyu train. For me as a kid, this Umeda station was like my dream and coming here was like a big adventure! First of all, it’s always full of people. And this is a great hub station in Osaka, you can go anywhere, literary anywhere, such as Namba, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, Shiga, ShinOsaka, which is a station where you can take a bullet train or Shinkansen. A lot of department stores, so you won’t need to shop where. Lots of places to eat, so you’ll taste real Osaka. Drinking places as well. There is a huge book store called Kinokuniya. They have books in English too, so you can just try the book store. As you can see, it has EVERYTHING. Just visit and prepare to be amazed!! Welcome...
