Saryo Ito En Haneda Airport — Restaurant in Tokyo

Itoen is popular tea brand in Japan and this is one of my favorite places to visit at the international terminal (Terminal 3) at Haneda Airport. They have a variety of teas as well as dessert options. The sitting area is nice and spacious, too. It is self-serve, so you need to go to the counter to order. This time, I tried the Soft Serve with Sweet Red Beans & Rice Cakes - Roasted Green Tea (JPY 700), which was delicious. The shiratama (mochi / rice cakes) were chewy and went well with the red beans and soft serve. If you love tea and have never tried hojicha (roasted green tea) desserts, I highly recommend you give it a try! Green tea is more widely known, but I actually prefer hojicha...

A RIP OFF .OVERPRICED.dont bother with this place .Staff was rude and couldnt get a simple order right even after ordering in japanese and than showing picture . The ice cream was already melting and way too soft . Super skimpy on the portion . Not at all what i was expecting mega rip off .high prices especially for non organic matcha . Therr are so many better japanese matcha cafe in tokyo .this was by far the worst . The drink was basically just ice barely any matcha in it .very disappointed .the only thing nice is the jspanese decor table and red umbrella .800 yen for a pre mix matcha that tasted so weak and...

We avoided the tea due to other comments on how watered down and poorly made it is. OK, why go here then? The matcha ice cream is supposed to be good, so we ordered that. It is definitely expensive for the small size serving. As for the taste, it is better than green tea ice cream at Asakusa kaminarimon shopping area. For better tasting higher grade cheaper soft ice cream, go to Culvers in the USA. As for the “atmosphere” the seating area is very nice but it is crowded. They should occasionally eject people who are just sitting...
