Leng Durian — Attraction in George Town

These durian sellers are the most arrogant bunch in the whole of Penang. Been to Jelutong Market where there is 2 stalls were ver honest and confident, Been to the durian van outside fatty loh at fettes park(top seller and really honest people with great durians)Been to macalister road ah teik a bit expensive but at least non condescending and treats you like a customer with respect but nothing prepare me for the treatment from these anson road durian rip off vendors. They get customers by the tourbus in loads, customers from china, singapore and hong kong. they dont want your business. They rather rip off the tourists with their 200-300 ringgit per durian musang kings. I rocked up in my nephews lil old bomb and I asked for musang king. The guy saw me driving a perodua said the musang king is not for ppl like me, it cost 250ringgit per biji. I should look at the cheap durians. Wow how arrogant is this business, luckyly I did not bycicye there or else they will ask me to clear their leftover durian skin. These guys are pure rip offs. Any durian stall in Penang is a more honest pick than these unscrupulous people as I too, sad to say got ripped off for the sake of my pride to buy a really heavy disgusting durian off these dishonest vendor. Went to this stall to have my first durian of the year.... Order a red prawn durian to eat it on the spot but when being served the durian look noting nor taste like the usual red prawn durian I had. Try to ask the uncle about it... And he keep saying bunch of reason. The durian was also slight watery and mushy. So disappointed with such seller and was too lazy to reason with unreasonable elderly. End up ask them to pack it and I just give it away. Went to another local honest stall around gelugur genting cafe and get black thorn and red prawn after that...after getting a proper red prawn durian had the urge to go back and show him and compare his so call red prawn durian with the proper one.. Brought up from a family who has own durian orchard and definately know I am wasting my time and money with such seller. If your not local just stay away from...

Order a red prawn durian from this stall and durian served look and taste different. Me and my friend (local penangnite) just tasted 1 piece each and totally fed up with such seller, directly ask to pack as this seller is totally tourist trapping. Drove to another durian stall where there's more local and buy the same red prawn durian. Picture shown is the comparison of the durian .Picture - bottom container red prawn durian (from other local stall) is the the typical red prawn durian would look like and taste totally different from this anson road.
