The Waterfront • Park City — Attraction in Kuala Lumpur

I’ve always appreciated that Desapark Waterfront promotes itself as a pet-friendly environment. I walk my dog there almost every day and have always been grateful for a place that welcomes pet owners.

However, my experience this morning was deeply disappointing. Around 8 AM, I was walking my dog on a leash from the park toward the Boost corridor when I encountered a staff member in a Desapark Waterfront uniform. He seemed to be there to inspect or take photos of the corridor, and we happened to be passing through at the same time. Instead of showing patience, he stood there with an obviously irritated look, as if waiting for us to get out of the way. When my dog calmly walked past him, he even made a loud “tsk” sound — clearly expressing displeasure.

This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. If Desapark Waterfront truly wants to be known as a pet-friendly place, then all staff should reflect that value — not just in marketing, but in real-life behavior. A welcoming environment is defined by how people are treated, not by what’s written on signs and brochures.

I sincerely hope management will take this seriously and train their staff accordingly. Otherwise, it’s hard to believe Desapark Waterfront truly cares about being inclusive...

This is my first time here in 2018. The mall is only two stories high with lots of little cafes and restaurants.... With an aeon supermarket... Shops either face the carpark or the park and lake... Its design is quite different from other shopping malls... I felt like I would like to come here again.... Hello I am here again 2nd time on Christmas day 25 Dec 2024.. wow it has changed a lot much better than before many more little cafes and restaurants..lots of stalls selling trinklets, and other cute things... The Christmas decoration at the entrance was really nice with a Christmas atmosphere and feeling... there was also a light festival going on at the park so lots of lights shining and of course lots of people... had coffee and cake at 103 coffee. The coffee was good though the cake was not actually a cake... but still enjoyed the night there... wondering when would I come...

Let me tell you this place is absolutely insane, they packed everything I mean everything(don't stone me) right there in the park, caution for those dog haters old don't go there. Because it may looks like HELL to you. I love dogs so it's heaven. Every corner you meet a cutie doggy. The waterfront is well maintain, can see tons of fishes....thank God fishing is not allowed, I love fishing so imagine that. Oh yeah lots of lots of trees and followers. And park bench, oh my goodness....don't mind have some place where you can wash your hands(maybe I missed it). The restaurants like just waiting there to feed you with just delicious food, I have tried a few there(thanks to Amelia Hong & Chris B) how I wish my house is just right there. You have shops and family mart, Aeon, hmmmm no cinema Leh. Nevermind all in all just a sedap and selesa place to go. Oh you can...
