One of the Worst VR Experiences Ever – Avoid at All Costs
If I could give this VR experience negative stars, I would. “Overkill” is an absolute disaster of a game that fails on almost every level, from gameplay mechanics to overall enjoyment. I went in expecting an intense, immersive VR combat experience, but instead, I was met with a frustrating, buggy mess that felt more like an unfinished tech demo than a polished game.
Unplayable Mechanics & Game-Breaking Bugs
Within the first minute of playing, the game completely broke. The core mechanic—actually “killing” enemies—stopped working entirely. This isn’t just a minor glitch; it’s a complete deal-breaker. How can you call a game “Overkill” when it doesn’t even let you shoot or take down enemies past the first 60 seconds? Instead of engaging combat, I was left standing there, helpless, in what felt like a broken simulation. No amount of restarting or troubleshooting could fix it.
Lack of Polish & Poor Optimization
Even before the game completely broke, it was riddled with issues. The movement felt clunky and unresponsive, hit detection was wildly inconsistent, and there were serious tracking problems that made aiming almost impossible. At times, the game would lag or freeze, pulling me completely out of the experience. The UI was poorly designed, adding to the confusion and frustration. It felt like the developers never actually tested the game properly before releasing it.
Demoralizing Experience – Completely Killed My Interest in Playing Further
After struggling through the first few minutes, I had zero motivation to continue. There was no sense of accomplishment, no excitement—just pure frustration. VR is supposed to be immersive and engaging, yet this game managed to make me feel like I was wasting my time in the worst possible way. I’ve played my fair share of VR games, both good and bad, but this was on a whole other level of...
Read moreOverall a pleasant weekend outing with friends and surprised there was no queue. We took the RM108/pax package and played 3 games - Zombie Jail, Overkill and Super Ninja. All three are shooting games. The staff were friendly but seemed a little bit inexperienced while providing instructions. We had to clarify a few times on the mission of the games. We give it a total rating of 3.8/5 stars. ⭐️
Some comments :
VR headset is quite heavy and pulls your eyelids down which is straining to the eyes. Recommend to wear contact lens instead of glasses. Duration of games is not evenly spaced out so some games would end much earlier than anticipated. VR experience : 360 degrees but players can only walk max 1-2 steps or else the cable will be disconnected. Not much space to move around despite the large room. Staff will constantly guide you back to original position. Weapons - quite heavy, kids may have trouble using the equipment. “Zombie Jail” (the one in the truck) - Graphics are poor/blur and unrealistic. “Overkill” is much better and quite fun. “Super Ninja” offers cute graphics and the battles were even playing field. Hygiene - It states that they sanitise the equipment frequently but we only saw one equipment sanitised after we used it. Recommend for hand sanitizers to be placed at every game station. Memory - Staff can maybe offer to take group pictures for the players. We don’t have any memory of us posing/playing as we put our bags aside...
Read moreNote: Sure seems like this company is using fake positive reviews. Found about 13 5 star reviews from brand new profiles with identical words including the same mispellings. Very misleading. 3 of us, purchased a 3 game package. First tried Crazy Rush, the racing game. Very low quality. Felt like a game made about 15 years ago. Even Mario Kart on the switch is orders of magnitude better. 2 out of 10. Wouldnt play again even if it were 1 myr. Its that bad. No handling physics, terrible graphics, no interaction, bad audio, uncreative weapons. Simply not fun.
Next tried the Jurassic game. I give this a 3 out of 10. Bad visuals here as well, and the gun you are given shoots balls of light? Why? No upgrades, no engagement whatsoever. All 3 of us agreed we were board within the first 2 or 3 minutes. Nearly any game you buy on Meta Quest is far superior.
Finally played Zombie Jail 2. I give this the highest score, 5 out of 10. Definitely some improvements over the other 2, and a little more variety, but still far, far inferior to games you could get for meta quest
Games are over super fast, and very expensive. Nearly 400 myr for 3 of us to play boring, short games. All of us agreed it was very disappointing. Might be fun for children, or someone who has never experienced VR at all. However, if you have tried VR before, or own a Quest, or similar, this is going to feel like a huge downgrade. Terrible graphics and animation, and...
