Came here on a Sunday morning at 1030am. Already long queue even though it was delayed in opening their shop. About 1040am it opened and queue started moving and got my food after 10-15 minutes. The seating is very cramped and people with families book the seats by sitting there while someone queued. But the shop staff can always find a place to sit as the customers eat and leave, don't linger around. I ordered half rice, fried chicken and sliced fish curry, kuah campur, 3-types vegetables (taugeh-timun-bendi) and sirap limau, total price RM15. Payment by both cash and online transfer (QR code) accepted. Taste wise, curry is mild, no MSG taste, food all fresh, special is their coconut sambal. Customer service is good, don't worry, everyone just...

Ipoh is famous for a lot of food and there's a good reason why nasi kandar isn't one of them. The rice is tasteless, the chicken is overcooked and too dry, the vege doesn't look appealing and a dollop of what looks like coconut sambal is like a random ingredient someone with a non functioning taste bud came up with. The price isn't too expensive but the queue is long for something that tasted this bad. The high score gotten by this restaurant means many haven't tasted a properly delicious plate of nasi kandar. What those who voted highly need to do is to venture north to Penang to taste proper nasi kandar instead of a sticking to a sort experiment here that neither look nor taste like the real deal.

Taste factor: 1.0/10 Return factor: you...

The owner and the workers are super friendly and nice.

It’s located near the flats in Ipoh town. A lot of ppl will come during lunch hour, and the nasi kandar next door crowd was just so-so.

It’s famous by the locals and chinese. A lot of chinese dines in there.

There’s a variety list of dishes available.

For me, the taste was just okay, not that great. BUT everyone has different preferences. I prefer other curry mix.

The nyior sambal is spicy. That gives the kick. The curry is not thick, it’s light.

The rendang is different than normal malay rendang.

Total price for the dish and sirap limau is RM16.

You should try different types of nasi kandar in Ipoh, cause none taste the same and everyone has different...

Reasonably the cheapest amongst the Mamaks Nasi Kandar in Ipoh. A plate of rice with any ayam (gorengs, kari), a sizeable fish roe, fried taugeh, half a salted egg, some ocras with floods of mixed curries (if you like your nasi kandar drenched 😁) for just RM10 is certainly cheap. Usually the fish roe alone would cost you almost RM10. The gravy is definately not spicy hot like the Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah (at Yong Suan Kedai Kopi). The seating is adequate or you can just tapau and eat besides the Kinta River just across the shop. It's tasty, not so spicy and with some breeze from the river, it is delightful treat.
