I was walking around with my significant other and we were suddenly hungry. This seemed like the spot that would treat us right.
Upon entering, it was impressive with a tropical feel. We were seated at a table. Not too long after, we were given complimentary chips and salsa. They were excellent. We were even given a complimentary refill on them that were just as good. The salt and pepper at the table amplified the flavor of it all as well.
From the Bebidas / Drinks section, I ended up ordering a Margarita. In Pesos, it was 154. In USD, it was 7. The drink wasn’t expensive in my opinion. From the Especialidades / Specialties section, I went with the Camarón Mission. In Pesos, it was 440. It was Mission Shrimp. In USD, it was 20. From the Lunch section, we ordered Tacos (Pollo, Res o Pescado) and chose Res. In Pesos, it was 220. It was Tacos (Chicken, Beef or Fish) and chose Beef. In USD, it was 10.
The Margarita had a pretty strong zing to it. It was flavorful and went down easy. I enjoyed it. The Camarón Mission wasn’t too good. Everything on the plate was simply alright. On the menu, it stated that If You Don’t Like It, You Don’t Pay It. I wasn’t charged for it, so I definitely respected that concept. The Tacos came with a quantity of three. They were excellent and so was everything else on the plate. I wanted to try one more item, since my meal didn’t work out. From the Entradas section, I ordered a Guacamole. In Pesos, it was 66. In the Entrees section, it was Guacamole. In USD, it was 3. It came out fast and it was an excellent size for the price. It was certainly enjoyable.
The Tip’s For Music group was decent. I thought it was weird that I was approached at my table by one of the members for a tip, though.
The service was great throughout my visit. I didn’t have any issues.
Overall, this was an awesome place to stop at. If I’m in the area again, I might explore the menu more.

Read moreWe came to this well known restaurant in Cozumel at the recommendation of several friends for real, authentic Mexican food. While the ambiance lived up to expectations, the service and more importantly, the food did not. The food served was prepared most likely days before and reheated or microwaved with cold centers and hot outsides. Tortillas were missing for the fajitas. The margaritas were very weak The re-order of frozen margaritas got first totally forgotten and then we received margaritas on the rocks. One plate was so cold that we had to return it and after we had nearly finished our meal it was returned on the same plate with the same knife buried in the meal but so overheated that it was barely eatable. The coconut shrimp ordered by one of our party was good, the Mexican food at total disappointment of local cuisine. Our involvement of the manager/owner did not even result in any form of apology. We immediately stated that we are NOT looking for any discount, but certainly any form of acknowledgment of our complaint would have been appreciated. And NO, it was not a language issue, the owner/manager spoke English very well as did the wait staff. To top things off, while leaving the owner/manager stated that he had comp’ed our meals. However, that was not reflected in the bill we had just paid Just a complete lie. SADLY. To make things worse I personally witnessed one of the kitchen staff (hairnet and all) using the restroom and returning to his duties without washing his hands. My recommendation, find a different place to eat and spend your money. PS: This review does NOT reflect the services of...
