This review is for the store only not the guys out on the market street (the guys always super friendly and helpful!) The blonde girl at the counter is rude and doesn’t want to help you or answer your questions. She didn’t want to let me pick the fish I wanted and instead said I had to take what she gave me...haha umm I can just go to any other fish monger in the neighborhood and get what I want. The next time the same girl said they were out of sashimi when I’m sure they could have just cut more of the fish that was there. The one time I did get the sashimi it was overpriced and cut really raggedy so not super appetizing. Why go here when other places will treat you like a customer, have better fish and cheaper prices?!...
Read moreAs I stroll through Albert Cuyp marketplace on Saturday, I noticed this store. I wanted to try famous local delicacy Dutch herring and they had it. They serve it in bread or without bread. Although I thought I will not be able to finish it, I managed to eat the whole fish. Was prepared very good. On the side we also got some fried fish, which was also very nice.
They have some seating outside. Besides cooked fish they carry wide range of raw sea food selection for you to take home and cook.
