It is Saturday evening and we went here because we had spent a really chill afternoon here the other day. My friend uses a wheelchair and we found them very accomadating that afternoon. So we returned there to have a coffee in the early evening. To our surprise the lady that was working there this time was extremely rude to us and spoke to my friend in her wheelchair as if she was a second class citizen. The waitress was angry because the wheelchair was in her throughway too much and rather than realise that the restaurant should be accomadating for wheelchairs she spoke to my friend as if she was responsible for accomadating the staff by leaving as soon as her coffee was finished. When we walked in we asked nicely if there was any space for the chair, as it was very busy there. We asked this to avoid any type of discomfort for anyone while we sit with our drinks. She told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. Somehow her entire attitude had changed between the time that we asked this and us sitting down. She came to our table and told us to leave as soon as we finished our coffee. My friend and my son did not want to make a fuss about it but I did say that we would just like to take time to drink our coffee like any other person does in a café. She insisted that we could only stay for a half an hour. She also said to my friend in her wheelchair that she has to get through and her chair is in the way and that that is the specific reason why we can't stay sitting. Dear customers and staff of Pilsvogel. You are there to accomodate your customers, with or without a wheelchair. They are not here to accomadate you. And your café should make adjustments for wheelchairs and other handicaps. I hope the lady working at Pilsvogel this evening does not ever get into a situation where she needs extra accomodations for her needs because no one will help her with that kind of karma. We were so impressed with the other employees the last time we were there that this was even more dissappointing than it would have been otherwise. People with disabilities just want to and deserve to go out and enjoy just like everyone else. I am letting my entire netwerk know how terrible this experience was. So maybe in the future it will be less busy there so that you are no longer so stressed. Poor you, lady, that you can't get through with your able...
Read moreAs someone who has worked in the food industry for 7 years I was surprised to be met with an unprofessional and rude manager (he had on thick black glasses and had a bald head). My friend took one sip of a moscow mule and asked for it to be sent back since the taste of the drink was not of a moscow mule ( it also wasn’t in the standard moscow mule cup)
We were still charged for the drink therefore we politely asked for it to be taken off, since it wasn’t consumed. The manager came and rudely said “This is not America, so you will have to pay for the drink.” His tone was insanely agressive! In response I asked for an identical drink to be made in order for it make sense to be charged for something that wasn’t consumed. The manager walked away so abruptly without saying anything to us. I physically had to get up from my seat and go to the bar in order to hear that they would take it off.
Unprofessional and disrespectful - this manager shouldn’t even be managing a toilet. Please address this situation - as I will be waiting for a response for such...
Read moreI got there apparently right be for prime time and before the rain. There was no room outside so I chose to sit inside by the window to enjoy the view. No Paella for me unfortunately but the Tapas were very good beer was cold, ladies were nice, even had one of the bar guys stop by to see if the food was ok. the service I recieved was very good. Some say it's not so great, maybe because I was visiting. Even got a free beer for letting a couple and son sit at the table. Turns out they were very cool people. Made my day. The place seems to be popular however, it got crowded very fast later in the evening. Either way if you have a large group its probably best to try to call ahead. I was a solo traveler and apparently everyone wanted my seat since it was apparently too big for me. I shared it with a few nice couples. Don't make the mistake of going to the bathroom though without someone watching your table. How the old saying goes "move your feet loose your seat" will be in effect. All and all I would go back put pick a...
