Let me say we went on an adventure before discovering this place ! We were wandering in Pijp looking for food, I think we had a spot we wanted to go, you know one of the "overhyped" place. And I think that we gave up because there was way too many people.
We ended up walking pass this restaurant and as we heard a lot of locals and theirt plates lookedlooked dang good, we decided to give it a shot. And oh my, let me tell you there is no regret.
If you've never been, you need to know that you have to order at the bar, which we did not know and waited at our table outside like weirdos (btw it was writen on the menu that we did not get the chance to have, until we went to the bar). Oh and the wait was long but there was a lot of people to feed, sooo... Life happens.
We ordered a bunch of items to try on the menu and it was darn delicious, except maybe the cauliflower soup which was too liquidy that lead it to be a tad tasteless, and it missed richness. It was not what I was expecting.
Apart from that, the tartines they serve are uniquely tasteful ! Their truffle mayo is subtle and goes well with the chicken.
I'd call this place very chill out zone. Very friendly and "bonne franquezte" as you say it in french....

The place has also tables inside, but just a few compared to the spots outside. Order via website and payment right away, the menu has a few brunch options and no alcoholic drinks. We chose a coffe, a latte macchiato and two warm sandwiches: tomato, Thai basil avocado and poached egg, (simple and good) and as second one the one with parmesan, chicken, avocado and egg as well (very tasty and appreciated 👍). Fast service, all very smooth, we really enjoy our little...
Read moreGreat location, great menu, friendly staff, fairly quick service (we were there at prime-time lunch hour aka 12.30PM). The sandwiches are really to die for, well layered and the flavours work very well together. My aunt enjoyed the chicken-avo; it took her 45 mins. to finish, it's that big! I had the quinoa salad with rye and egg and both smoothies. I particularly like the green one with avocado, great taste!
It's a buzzing place in the heart of the Pijp and I think a great addition. The seating area could be a bit better organized though. We were seated at the bar alongside the window. However, there is a large diningtable with chairs all around, that blocks the seats alongside the bar.
Other than that: keep it up! I would defo...
