Pathé Arena — Attraction in Amsterdam

Probably the largest Pathé cinema, at least the largest in Amsterdam. This cinema has it all! IMAX, 3D, 4DX, Dolby Cinema, Dolby Atmos.. They have recently renovated and I'm loving what they did with the place! Good chairs, spacious, perfectly darkened rooms during the showing and wall-to-wall projection. What's not to like? Possibly the prices. Though using one of the 'Unlimited' formulas - interesting if you tend to see 2 or more movies at the cinemas each and every month - brings the prices down to affordable levels.

Don't forget to show your 'Unlimited' when getting snacks and drinks, as you are entitled to a discount!

Even if you don't have 'Unlimited', enroll in the 'all-stars' customer loyalty program, so you can save up with every purchase made (even when a discount has been applied!) and collect discounts as well as totally free products.

I hope the other Pathé branches will transform their cinema rooms the way...

Pathe is one of the most popular movie theater in Amsterdam. Here in Bijlmer Arena, has a IMAX 3D theater along with 13 other screens, so... it's pretty big. Usually hosts English, Dutch, Turkish and Hindi movies, it also host different events such as football matches or ladies night or Premiere. As far as quality stands, the screens are big and sound systems are awesome even for non IMAX screens. But sometimes the collection of movies or the arrival time is little disappointing, which might not be entirely because of pathe but some of it I guess.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Watched Avengers Endgame there, was so excited to have such a special experience but my experience was ruined as the movie got cut and the screen hanged for a good 10 minutes towards the end. Half the theatre left before staff came and rectified the situation.

Was compensated with a free movie pass but I didn’t need it as I was leaving Amsterdam the next day. Contacted their customer service via Facebook to ask if I could get a refund for my tickets as the free movie passes were of no use to me, but they insisted that that was their form of customer service recovery, and that the passes were valid till 2020. So what if I never return to Amsterdam in 2019/2020? I won’t ever be compensated?
