First impressions...My partner and I walked in to have lunch and a guy named 'Richard' had booked out at least 3 of the available tables. Damn Richard, save some for the rest of us. A bit 'off putting' but the early worm gets the nice tables I guess. Jokes aside, we ordered meals (see photos) and the best thing was the chicken. The beef brisket was horribly dry (but somehow looked moist). The kumara fries were obviously cooked from frozen (which is expected) BUT once served, they were all still clumped together. (It happens when you freeze food). So you had to break the pieces off to get a mouth sized bite. Time for a fresh batch of kumara fries maybe? Atmosphere was perfect, nice and warm. Service was okay but it did seem like they were only interested if you ordered drinks. (Yes, this is a biased opinion). When we went to pay, the ordered items weren't read out nor the receipt offered. And let's be honest, is it rude to ask them to read out your order? I'm not too sure. Overall, it's a 3.5/5.

Went for a work Christmas function and were given a space of approx 5 by 3. 5 meters for 45 people. There were similar size groups beside us and 2 bigger behind us. It was packed, loud and pretty sure over capacity. We were meant to have a waitress looking after us for drinks. She never got any for us and after being there 45 mins they(serving staff) were told they could not serve tables. I spoke to the young manger who told me his problems and felt he didn't listen to mine. The food was reasonable. A fuse was blown 1 hour into out time and there no lights for where we were, kitchen and bar. Drinks were then not being served. 15 minutes later the music went which was a relief as it was so loud. The only positive and why I am not giving it a 1 * was because of a young waiter in a hat who listened and helped. Won't be back.

We ordered the calamari, antipasto platter, BLT pizza and fries. The calamari was not even calamari, it tasted like pork belly, it was soaked in brown sugar and maple syrup and other spices completely taking away the authentic calamari taste. The antipasto platter was over priced considering the amount of pickled vegetables it mainly contained and I asked for the blue cheese to be removed and to just have non blue so they put standard Edam cheese on the platter and asked I pay extra to have it as they already bought the blue cheese out. Little bit piss poor if you ask me. Over all the food was well presented but not tasty. Pizza was ok, fries probably tasted the best. The spritzers are not too bad either. Likely won’t return however

My family and I had hired out the terrace space of Kaiser for my sisters 21st. We had talked to the managers and organised weeks before for there to be a slideshow, music, microphone and my family was buying 2 drinks for each guest and from there everyone can buy their own to which Kaiser agreed to be able to provide. We show up and straight away without even a hello, the staff begin to talk down to us and make up stories of the guests looking like they were swaying and “glass eyed” so they could only provide with the first round of drinks. Everyone had one or two before going and absolutely fine and just trying to decorate actually but we agreed. As the night progressed they only acquired to their own rules made up completely disregarding our opinions. They refused to allow people to go to the bar themselves and would only bring the drinks out to us and when we did see them at the bar they were only putting half a shot of alcohol in the 1 shot drinks we ordered. They never gave out the second tallons for everyone’s second drink either. We were not allowed to put our own music on because it was a ‘disturbance’ when the bar was practically empty and we had our own section. We weren’t allowed to put up a slideshow of photos due to “flashing lights”. The 21 shots of light alcohol for the birthday girl were given of juice and were only 15 because the waiter is “dyslexic” apperantly. The microphone wasn’t given either which was promised and neither was the table inside for the adults. They set an alcohol ban for 15 mins at a time multiple times randomly and on the birthday girl for 30 minutes who had 1 drink to drink the whole night. Overall the way the staff communicated with us and talked down to us was appalling and disregarded all opinions and anything we had agreed on previously. For the money we paid it was not worth it, the only good thing was the food and wouldn’t not go there again or...

There is a reason why the reviews for Kaiser are so good...it's because they are that good! We have not had a single bad experience in any of the visits we've had over the past 12 months. We keep coming back for more. Fabulous food, beer, cocktails and location/setup as well as staff. You just can't go wrong.

Most recently we chose to have our wedding reception at Kaiser. Mason, Aisling, Marcus, Chelsea and the rest of the team were amazingly helpful and flexible and ensured our evening was splendid. All our guests raved about the food AND the drinks. We had a lovely outdoor courtyard area to ourselves and dedicated wait staff who were FAB-U-LOUS. We wouldn't have changed a thing. We had such a great time that several of us went back the following week to reminisce and experience some of the food and cocktails again! It's something we will never forget.

We just can't say enough good things about the team at Kaiser. We've dined and eaten in several different spaces around the venue and enjoyed each of them. Being able to order via the table app makes things super easy too. This place is fab for a drink, chilling with friends on the deck or having a casual meal out. Be sure to try the calamari....it's the best (and the gins and Espresso Martini). My husband also loves their Hazy, Porter and the alcoholic lemonade. In fact, you can't go wrong with just ordering yourself a tasting paddle and jug of Kaiser's Lemonade to get things started. Thanks team for making us feel so welcome. ...

I was recently here for a friends 21st birthday. On entrance the staff regarded we were all intoxicated, however we came in completely normal and friendly trying to begin setting up for my friends birthday. We were supposed to have the tvs avaliable to put up baby photos which was refused due to lights becoming a problem although my friends parents had booked out the whole area, and we know from another friends previous 21st that they had the tvs on. Throughout the night we were refused drinks although everyone was supposed to be given 2 drinks each minimum through a token system the parents paid for. We were constantly put on alcohol bans where we had to wait up to 30 min between drinks. This is a reasonable rule if people were highly intoxicated but every person in the group was respecting the area and the establishment and no one was causing any nuisance to anyone. This caused the birthday girl to only receive one drink the whole night as the staff were power tripping and constantly refusing her drinks. They made rude unreasonable comments stating her eyes were “red” when it was solely from eyelash extensions she got, and when trying to explain she was called argumentative. Highly disappointing as the restaurant is a lovely spot and has an amazing atmosphere but the staff being completely rude and unreasonable from the minute we...
