Disappointed, Gutted, Frustrated, Left Wondering Why I Chose to Change to Vodafone??
This review reflects both on this stores effort but mostly on the brand Vodafone.
29/05/21 My line of work relies heavily on me having my mobile and mobile number active at all times, I seen that Vodafone had a great deal on the Samsung S21+ and I thought you know what I'm going to treat myself! On Saturday I decided that I would go into store and signed up for my new phone, I needed to swap my original number over from Spark so we went through the standard process and I was happy leaving the store with my new device!
I did this on the first day of my weekend so that if something did go wrong I should have time for Vodafone to rectify the fault before my return to work.
Later that day I was informed that there was a fault and that I'd been allocated the incorrect number, I responded to confirm the correct number that same day between business hours.
30/05/21 I was informed that my number change should have been completed Sunday, I noticed it did not change over but I know these things sometimes take a little longer and my Spark sim was still active so it wasn't a bother.
31/05/21 I woke to my Spark sim being disconnected but the number on my phone was now incorrect on the Vodafone sim supplied, I expected this should have been resolved already and quickly called Vodafone support on the phone. They informed me that I would need to contact the store direct as they had no power to rectify the fault. I contacted the staff member that signed me up via email and although it appeared that is was not his day in the office he was responsive for most of the day in helping to resolve the fault, by the end of the day my phone was now somehow fighting between two numbers on the one sim.
1/06/21 I attempted emailing the staff member early and mid morning with no further replies, I then had to resort to calling Vodafone on the phone to have another staff member be in touch to help resolve this issue. I received one email from this member of staff and I replied with all information requested then no further replies. This member of staff did request that I came into that store, so I took time out of my already busy day of work to do so. Upon arriving it turns out that there was nothing that could done in store to restore my phones operation. *I had to request another sim so I could make calls from my phone, this was not offered to me, even though I've been left unable to receive or make calls for now days on end.
2/06/2021 Still no fix, still frustrated and unable to properly do my job.
I feel I'm letting my customers down, causing confusion calling of a random number.

Read moreHad the most appalling and scam-like experience at Vodafone Riccarton.
I went in for a warranty claim on one of my Samsung phones which had a screen fault. However the lady who served me said the phone was outside the 12 months warranty period and I had to pay for the repairs. She then told me the screen repair cost would exceed the phone’s value (Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G) so tried to talk me into buying a new phone. Regardless, I had purchased the phone on 5th December 2020 so was still within the standard 12 months Vodafone warranty period. Having my doubts, I walked out and went to Samsung Hub just around the corner to verify the warranty period. The guy at Samsung confirmed “all Samsung mobile phones are covered under 24 month warranty. Go back and tell them.” Also previously I was quoted between $650-$850 for an entire screen replacement of the phone, so regardless the value of the repair would not be exceeding if I had to pay for the repairs.
At this moment I knew I was blatantly told a lie by the sales rep at Vodafone Riccarton Store. Knowing this I confronted the sales rep but only then she said her apologies that she "didn't know". She then said she will process the warranty claims but I still had to pay a $65 deposit for sending my phone for the repair. Later on I realised that was the minimum inspection cost for phone repairs. Why would I need to pay the service fee for warranty claims?
Leaving a bad taste in my mouth I immediately called off my services and walked out of the store. I then went to Cashel Street store and made my warranty claim there. There was no hassle, no issues, no talks into new phone, and no $65 deposit for warranty claims. Comparing Riccarton and Cashel street store is night and day.
If anybody reading this had a similar experience (talked into buying a new phone for what's covered under warranty), you are not alone. Rest assured I will not be returning to Riccarton store for my Vodafone service needs.

Read moreCame in today (04/01/21) around 2:00PM, and one of the staff working there was so rude. She was helpful only to the point where she thought she was going to make a quick sales commissions from us. We were actually about to get the phone on plan after we were told by a different sales person there (5 minutes earlier) that new or exisiting customers (if on a $60/more plan already) could get into the promotion of $300 off the iphone 12 pro max if we go into monthly plan for for the phone. This sales staff however, told us that it was only new customers. Confused, we pointed out that the staff behind her had inform us something different. Immediately she became defensive and said, “I’m a staff here, I would know”. Literally no one said that she wasn’t, we merely pointed out that someone else had told us something totally different which was why we were quick to jump into that promotion. Still, she was rude about it and said “oh, well we don’t, so” and with her annoyed attitude towards us, made it really obvious that she couldn't be bothered to even check with the other sales staff that had spoken with us.
Won’t be coming back here if she’s there. I’d warn anyone to stay away from here too, her serving level is so poor. Description: She’s tall, body shape is about slim to curvy, her colour is dark brown, straight hair in the style of those 2008 era emo hairstyle kind of, and winged eyeliner.
As I walked past the store again, saw that she was continuing her poor behaviour with another elder...
