PAK'nSAVE Riccarton — Attraction in Christchurch

It was a busy day and there were no trolleys available, even though I waited for one more than 10 minutes. Did my whole shopping carrying a heavy basket and when I went to pay for my groceries, the cashier insisted that I should buy bags as, according to her, I was not “allowed” to use the trolley she had. When I saw some trolleys arriving, I asked her if someone could get me one and I explained to her that I have spina bifida + other back problems. When checking with the manager, the manager was extremely rude and said that I should buy bags and that they would not get me a trolley, as they were going to keep the trolleys that arrived to the cashiers only. When I asked the manager if they could please give me some free bags then, very ironically she said “we don’t do free bags and the trolley needs to stay”. Even the costumer next me shouted at the lady asking her to help me out. “But she’s not listening aye?” “Even though your telling her about your health issues”. Anyway, I decided to take the trolley and I did it. Feeling quite embarrassed for the whole situation. Even though I told both employees that I was already in a lot of pain for having to carry a heavy basket around the supermarket and I wouldn’t be able to carry my groceries to the car park. And guess what? As soon as I entered my car, and went to check my receipt- they charged me the wrong price for the mandarins 10’99 a kilo when it was 5,69. I had to walk all the way down, because I would not let them steal from me after the whole situation. SHAME ON YOU PAKNSAVE...

Pak n Save are consistently good value. The staff are ready to help and Riccarton Mall. Branch generally have some of the best discounts. There's also a lot of products catering to the increasing number coming here from around the world. Overall it's a straightforward shop and if you want a little or a lot, expect the best value for money. PS shout out to Jamie. Went looking for coffee for the coffee machine normally about $20/ kg and it wasn't there. Said to Jamie it was a pity as I had been buying 3 or 4 at the reduced 50% price. Came back this week.........screes of vaccum packed 1 kg ground and whole beans.......and at 50% reduced price!!!! Man needs a medal Matataki weekend busy. Still good value. Average shop some 20 - 25 items came to $66 and that included persihables. Please put Custard Croissants on the menu. Northlands have them but Riccarton? Okay bad day made better by staff here. Sanjeev made sure to get me the last Value Chocolate Chip packet of biscuits top shelf at the back. When I asked if there was any more Go milk powder.....he got the stairs to get the box down and hand me 2 packets. That's over and above help as was the cheery checkout lady scanning 2 items for pricing. If it's the same distance to Papanui Pak N Save I still prefer Riccarton especially as Riccn P&S is still in the mall, and usually have what's needed and the right price AND a park outside even on...

Unfortunately no minus rating option available so even they provided the most horrible service/experience I have ever had so far still got a star rating...Rediculous! When found out they mismatched the products and price tag, I requested to return the product and get refund as I don't need this it's misleading customers and it is so wrong. But the so call check out supervisor insisted no refund as nothing wrong with the produce. Yes the product doesn't do anything wrong but your team didn't do their job properly at the first place is not right. This arrogant supervisor makes no apology for misleading and makes his own rule in this case to only allow exchange. All I can feel is just being trapped by misleading and now being forced to purchase something. Then when i grabbed the items and walking back to the service desk, he pretented to not see me and walked away to return a single brasket. Well that brasket is so important and customers can wait. Thanks for your disgusting service and poor management to allow themself misleading, forcing and ignoring customers 👎🏻 sure this contributes to your daily excess profits. Will never ever go...
