Stayed in our campervan so can't comment on the accommodation. Our sight was well located easy access to the different facilities that the 10 Ten brand pride themselves on. Well enough located it's a small town with pockets of shops and restaurants so getting round on foot you just have to be happy take a little extra time.
Being next to the main road through town you get alot of freight truck noise throughout the night it's just absolutely unavoidable. While I understand having a few lights round for safety definitely felt some of the placement could be better, even with the curtains in the camper there was enough light coming through it interfered with my sleep. Staff were super friendly and professional. Facilities were clean but could do with a deep clean in those hard to reach areas. I'm not a fan of spiders and the high ceilings in the toilets was their territory, which for me isn't ideal. I believe this is considered one of the "fancy" top 10s but it could do with a bit more TLC from it's owners. If I'm paying $2 for a game of pool 🎱 least make sure your pool cues are straight the devil is in the details as they say and the details here are just not...
Read moreIm giving this campsite a single star.....Having prepaid and confirmed a late arrival of 8pm we parked and headed to the shared kitchen to warm up food before turning in for the night, just to find it overrun by the cycleto mayo cycling group. They had set up the whole kitchen with camp chairs and from one end of the kitchen to the other was food, foodscraps and lots of alcohol making the use of this amenity impossible. Later on during the evening the rowdy groups headed to their campervans findings it stupidly entertaining to plan their tomorrow's standing opposite our site. After a sleepless night of trucks passing until late and again continue from early hours 4am and the same roudy crowd shouting and talking aloud from 6am and the new group of youngsters arriving to the campsite conference room we definitely didn't enjoy our stay. Given there were lots of campervans and some appeared permanent we found it odd that only one shower block was open... A non powered site for $40 isn't worth it, unless the owners address the occupancy and common etiquette of its campers. If we had known this before we definitely would have...
