Maude Wines Tasting Room — Attraction in South Island

Just been to Maude Wine Tasting Rooms and I couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Myself and my partner were looked after by Lewis. From the outset he was friendly, warm, welcoming and down to earth! His knowledge of the wines, the processes and flavours was delivered in a way that a normal person can actually understand- I left feeling more knowledgeable about the wines. What I love about tastings is get to know the history and craft behing it all which you don't get at all in Maude. You only get a piece of paper with a brief description of each wine. Had THE best wine tasting experience at Maude Wines. Very knowledgeable sommelier, who stepped us through several wines, all delicious and true to the tasting notes. We decided to indulge in a brie soaked in oil, with bread to help soak up some alcohol. Friends turned up just as we were leaving, so we stayed on!
