Although a refund was provided and appreciated, I feel like it should not have taken that much effort considering the situation. For future references, Pioneer states « We’d class anything with a tax invoice / receipt made out to a bar / nightclub / restaurant etc as “used commercially” ». The staff should be informed of the above and should be able to determine rightfully if someone is using a product commercially or not and not to assume so from a single sentence heard such as « I need it for my class ». To wrongfully charge a customer and misinform them is one thing but to then try and justify yourself and cover up for your mistake in a rude manner makes it a lot worse. I hope we can all learn from this especially considering you did not know about Pioneer’s 3 years warranty until I called this morning. He got the headphones and got her to try it. Unfortunately, we returned to the store on Sunday and experience really unprofessional service. No help on the floor, one guy was sitting on the couch on his phone. I then went to the front counter and said I wanted to buy the Roland drum kit - No question about the Rockshop warranty either. I had to ask them if I can add it. Asked if it comes with headphones or which ones I should buy - another guy assisted. Just really unprofessional and honestly not helpful. I asked in-store about a Roland TD-27KV which wasn't in stock in Albany, so Sammy very quickly organised for it to be sent up from the Christchurch store because they had one left in stock. I also had a bit of a wish list for the extra bits and pieces that are needed for an electronic kit, and Sammy was very helpful in finding the exact items either in-store at Albany, or organising for them to be shipped from stores around the country - I have been able to put together my dream kit without having to hop from store to store. Excellent knowledge and service, and a fun and friendly guy to deal with - the kit is exactly what I was hoping for....
