Blue Elephant Thai Restaurant Parnell — Restaurant in Waitematā

With much anticipation I was excited to try out Blue Elephant Thai Restaurant in Parnell and experience the Thai cuisine hype I’d heard about. Instantly, I was impressed by the attentiveness and hospitality of the staff in making me feel most welcome and accommodating me with a table on a night with mostly reserved tables.

To start, I ordered their mixed entrees and was beguiled by the Thai Crab Cake. It stood out remarkably from the Chicken Satay, Spring Roll and Curry Puff and I fell in love with an exquisite glass of Rockford Barossa Shiraz. It was heaven exemplified!

For mains, we tried the chef’s special of Blue Elephant Crispy Pork with Blue Elephant Chicken Spicy Fried Rice requested Thai Hot and these dishes were exceptional, perfectly spiced where usually I would request extra chili.

Upon entry we were warmly welcomed by all the staff that saw us entering, which instantly made the resturaunt feel even more inviting. Me and my date enjoyed absolutely everything that we ordered, and there was not a single thing that either of us could fault. The presentation was fantastic, the flavours were all delicious, waiting time between meals was very quick and you can definitely feel that all the staff members genuinely want to make your dining experience as enjoyable as possible. The setting was beautiful, cosy and though the communication was pleasant and we ordered our menu and waited awhile as a busy period we acknowledged but few dishes came to our table thankfully we did not touch, as we waited for the other plates to arrive then told these were not ours. Luckily we did not touch but there should be a check on order before it served on the table. The plate of fish menu we ordered was surprised the bottom flesh missing as it's 1/2 the fish they serving 😂. Would be nice if they explained when ordering. After dinner we waited to pay our bill but the manager in charge pity her running between tables and kitchen to serve so we waited again patiently to pay.
