My husband went in on his lunch break one day to courier an item for me. There was a double charge on the receipt. I called to query whether that was an error (was happy to send photo etc) and (older male) owner refused to talk to me. Said he couldn't speak to a "relative" and had to speak directly to the customer? This is not a privacy issue - you just didn't want to help. Kept interrupting me and said YOUR HUSBAND MUST COME IN, then hung up on me. My husband works long hours and barely had the time to courier. I was heavily pregnant and couldn't get in physically myself. It was a very upsetting call.
I emailed paper plus head office to complain both re the double charge he wouldn't explain, and his rudeness and condescending service (maybe because I was a woman? The one star reviews all seem to be from women..?) Head office responded, and he later emailed me to apologise. He explained the second change was for the item being extra large. They also offered a voucher for me to delete the negative review. I turned it down as it was never about the money for me, I just wanted to be sure we had been charged correctly. Hopefully my refusal shows the owners that trusting customers is an important part of running a business. So is being warm, kind and friendly to everyone, regardless of race, gender or any difference.
I would encourage you to take onboard the feedback regarding your manner and the way you deal with customers. You should have been able to provide the answer you've over the phone when I called and would have saved a lot of frustration, time and energy for us all. Updated to provide additional information seeing there has been another recent review of a similar nature from another woman. I'm happy to provide...
Read moreVery rude staff not just to me but towards other customers as well. The sales guy I unfortunately met today at the paper plus Parnell told he has no time to waste for customers, even though I only spent less than 4 minutes in the shop.
Edit (reply): It could have been easier to instruct your staff to learn some customer service. As I mentioned earlier, I spent a total of about 4 mins there and yes, I made a phone call, that was when your staff was serving another customer. Level 3 doesn’t mean that you can be rude to a...
Read moreAlways good service and having the most patient of staffs, been my local go to post + last minute birthday gifts since I started working in Parnell 8 years ago. Yes it is almost the only place to go to around here especially for post but they are still always helpful. Having worked in hospo and retail in my youth and I could understand the difficulty a retail like this needs to go through. Would carry on supporting this...
