Okkøy poggers stay tuned for an incoming review fellas, these nerrrds be talking about the "perfect place for us geeks" but in a moment or two, maybe a few days, or even weeks (could be years) i will explain, mansplain even, the vast grandeur that lies within these lustrous halls and the depths that lie within...
EDIT: OKAY WITHIN THE DEPTHS WITHIN I WILL NOW EXPLAIN The place used to be a medium sized house, entering into the room you were met with distinct geek media that tingled most peoples pleasures. Down a staircase was a portallic entrance to the guiltiest pleasures beyond, entering into the mists of an almost supressive anime atmosphere. Alas, this was not the end, even deeper underneath the facilities were a second entrance into the world of paintable figurines and warhammer. I did not enter.
This shop has now been moved to a new location, a much larger hall on the minus oneth floor, and with an escalator as the first thing you meet, outland instantly achieves the amount of basement energy required to vessel legendary nerd- and weeb relics of the highest order, as well as the space to store them. There was a book about a lightly clad overweight elf girl, very good...
Read moreIt's a good location wise store, staff polite and a good variation of lego, Harry potter and star wars selection.
The other kind of anime/manga section of figures and plush etc wasn't impressive at all. That's what took a star off, I'd take off three but staff and prices is a big 👍🏻
Not a lot of selections of things you'd find on for an example "forbidden planet", outland is sort of the "Norwegian version" more or less.
There were lots of manga and books, even a BL section. Couldve been a bigger and more clear signs of wheres what, like "here begins manga on the letter 'A' " And yes there is an order but the signs were hard to see, or where the BL section was. I have no idea if they had the lesbian section of manga or books.
I'm glad there's a lot for many, and maybe it's hard to find figures and similar to certain manga and anime stuff, but it was very disappointing.
Hopefully their online shop has more selections of what I'm...
Read moreHere's my opinion on what I once called "My Favorite Shop of All". I have been a big fan of this shop since I first found about it 4 years ago. It is the haven for all geeks and nerds. A must go to place if you are from Oslo or a tourist with some cash to spend. You will find different types of products that may be difficult to find and lots of variety. Outland keeps getting more popular overtime. In their new locale in Grensen 5, there are definitely a bunch of people and can be crowded. The place is wheelchair-friendly. What I have noticed the past 4 years and what I really dislike is the price. I feel like prices on their goods keep increasing. 4 years ago, they still had discounted prices on plenty of items, but is rare nowadays. Therefore, I have decided to just buy the same stuff online because it is cheaper.
If you're planning on buying in Outland, fill up...
