It takes abour 20 minutes to cross the bridge by foot. One side is for pedestrians, the other if for cyclists. And of course, the actual road is for the other vehicles 🤣 Superb to take pictures of Tromsø and from the cathedral. Highly recommended, even if you don't like walking. And if you don't like to walk, you can cross the bridge wirh bus 26. If you like my review, the please 'like' it.

Walk to the highest part of the bridge and you can take a great photo - takes less than 15 minutes to get across. You can walk across the bridge but you can't cross from one side to the other, so know which side you want to take a picture from! I caught the bus to the Ice Cathedral and walked back to the town center and on a fine day, it's an easy walk.

Beautifully architected bridge linking the main city of Tromsø to some of the key attractions such as the Arctic Cathedral and the Fjellheisen (cable car). You can walk across the bridge - it is about 1km long - with pedestrian walkways on both sides protected from the traffic. Great views

جسر ترومسو العالي الرفيع الذي يربط الجزيرة التي يوجد بها المدينة والمطار الدولي وأرض اليابسة الأخرى المجاورة . وصاحب فكرة تأسيس الجسر هو : إيرلينج كيلسن (1896–1964م) ، المعروف شعبياً برو-كيلسن ، والد جسر ترومسو. قدم الفكرة في وقت مبكر من عام 1927م خلال حدث نظمته جمعية Tromsø Machinists ، حيث كان نائب الرئيس. في عام 1951 أسس جمعية ترومسو والجسور المحيطة بها ، وبعد ثلاث سنوات تم تأسيس A / S Tromsøbrua. قدر تحليل التكلفة بحوالي سبعة ملايين كرونة نرويجية. في 20 مايو 1955م ، وافق مجلس مدينة ترومسو على الخطط. في 26 نوفمبر 1978م ، تم الكشف عن نصب تذكاري لكجيلسن بالقرب من جسر ترومسو. تم نقله لاحقًا إلى مكان ما .

Innerhalb von fünf Tagen haben wir diese Brücke mindestens zehnmal überquert. Sie ist ein Wahrzeichen, eine Notwendigkeit, sie zieht sich in die Länge, der wunderbare Blick ( den es im übrigen auch von vielen anderen Stellen gibt) ist durch Gitterstäbe gestört, sie stinkt nach Abgasen, sie zittert, ächzt und wackelt, es weht dich fast runter - aber man kann sie liebgewinnen. Der kalte arktische Wind erfrischt, sie war nie vereist und es hängen tausend Schlösserherzchen an ihr. Die Menschen hasten, staunen, frieren...beim nächsten Mal probiere ich die Radfahrerseite ;-)

The Tromsø Bridge is a cantilever road bridge in the city of Tromsø which is located in Tromsø Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. It crosses the Tromsøysundet strait between Tromsdalen on the mainland and the island of Tromsøya.
