I often think that should have done an ethnographic study at this unique library- a universe in itself, during all those years we lived in Tromsø: This library has it all basically, and was like our third home as parents and students; for studies, copying, reading newspapers for free, for "internasjonalt seminar" every thursday, and play-meetings with other families. The place was packed on Saturday - primarily with young families who were doing all kinds of kid activities in the downstairs area of the library. The first and second floors had lots of young people on their computers and the 3rd floor which is a "quiet zone" is worth visiting for the views of the town. Read moreSpent a rainy afternoon in Tromso reading in a cozy nook. The library is massive and so well lit. The views on one side are lovely and the whole place has a warm, welcoming ambience. Saw several folks sitting and working away on their laptop and there was also a kids section downstairs to keep the little ones entertained. There’s also a cafe though we didn’t try it out.
