It's hotdog and hot wine, the combo that made us came back and willingly queuing for one hour!
Tried the reindeer also tried the beef & pork, they are equally good. Didn't try the vegan version, often sold out.
The cold weather made it taste better and feel warmer after eating it.
The hotdog is hardly filling, a good nibble...but the bonfire is good for the cold and snowy day...
Opens everyday from 12 to 7PM, just be ready to line up...it's not just an empty claim they have a good hotdog, the condiments especially the fried shallots make it special.
The hot wine can be added with almonds and raisins, I didn't know it created a nice twist to the hot red wine.
With the background history where an 18 years old girl running away from the family and the rocket shape, this is definitely an interesting landmark from Tromsø down town for us.
Many passer by intrigued by the long que form all the time for it, if you happen to visit, this one worth the time. 60NOK for the hotdog, 85NOK for the hot wine.
Thanks for making our time in Tromsø more...

I got curious and went closer… It’s a reindeer hot dog stand! Wait… reindeer? As in… Santa’s reindeer? 😳

There was a line of people, it’s right in the city center, and since reindeer meat sounds rare, I thought it would be super expensive.
But it was only 70 NOK — about the same as fries at McDonald’s nearby! 🍟
As for the taste: It’s a reindeer & beef sausage, but honestly, it just tastes like a really good regular hot dog! I probably couldn’t tell the difference if someone told me it was just beef. 😂
The pickled topping adds a nice sour touch that goes perfectly with the sausage. I originally went just for the “I ate reindeer!” experience, but the hot dog itself was actually really tasty and well-made. 🌭✨
You can sit by a campfire on reindeer fur right next to the stand — such a cozy and magical...

Visited in Feb , 1st time while on shore from a boat cruise and then we spent 2 days in Tromso later in our trip
In both occasions I was quite surprised at the queues and some time before it opens. On our second visit we decided to try the reindeer hotdog and around 11.20am we already saw a few people queuing, it opens at 12noon daily. We decided to join the queue to avoid a long wait
The hotdogs were really nice , we had it with the fried onions and mustard sauce. You have quite a few sauce options. Once they opened the 1 man show provided really quick and friendly service. During our trip the cost was 60 kroner each
We sat down in the little covered area and was definitely...
