Jayari — Restaurant in Arequipa

GRACIAS ESTHER! We had a delightful time on this rooftop restaurant overlooking the Arequipa plaza the armas. The server Ester was so friendly and welcoming and warm and hard working. She would run up and down the stairs.

Food was delicious and portions were enormous.

The vegetarian noodles were quite tasty!

We got to enjoy music and shopping right...

An expected surprise I found while wandering around the cathedral. I had an amazing fish that came sizzling (I had to wear a bib) with a little salad and yummy fries. The view was perfect on a sunny, breezy afternoon. And Tamara my server was wonderful and patient with her recommendations....

People go to restaurant with upstairs outdoor dining to escape street vendors and being harassed to buy something. This restaurant like many more allow this to happen….The constant harassment of customers by street vendors is disgusting. If you’re looking for quiet off the street think again. Might be tolerated by locals, not tolerated by travellers looking to escape the harassment. Leave the historic center and go somewhere else.
