I think this mall has seen better days. Now it is no longer relevant and appealing to mall-goers. Went here yesterday afternoon and stayed until 8 pm. I immediately noticed that its easier to park in their basement parking compared to years ago. I immediately proceeded to basement 2, as this is my practice whenever I am in a mall basement parking. I figured that the first basement is always full and harder to find a spot in. But proceeding to basement 2, I can spot some vacant spots in some areas of basement 1. When I got to basement 2, cars were sparse, and I was able to park quickly near the mall entrance. Lots of spaces still near the entrance.
When I got inside the mall, I saw that there wasn't really a crowd. Years ago, the restaurants here would have been full.of people on a Saturday night and a payday weekend.
I went here for a baptismal party at Cafe Mary Grace. Besides our party, there were just a few tables occupied by other customers.
When our party ended before 8 pm, I and my wife decided to buy some food to bring home in case we get hungry later in the night.
We went to KFC where there weren't much people dining in and just a couple of customers buying food to go. This was before 8 pm, it was quite early. We wanted to buy a 6 piece bucket of chicken but they only a had a few pieces of chicken left. Not enough for a bucket.
We left and we went to S&R. Here, they no longer had any slices of pizza and other stuff. Even the cheeseburgers we bought didn't have any cheese or lettuce because they ran out. It was weird that they were already out of many stuff when it was still early and there was only one group of customers occupying a table in the restaurant when we arrived.
It seems that this mall has very few people coming in and eating at the restaurants that some of the restaurants like the KFC and the S&R we went to, do not prepare a lot of food anymore.
I also noticed that some of the restaurants we used to eat at in this mall are already gone.
I wonder if the cinemas are still open. I wasn't...
