If you’re looking for something different and entertaining in Kraków, the Polonia Wax Museum is definitely worth a visit! The museum is a fascinating mix of history, art, and pop culture, offering a collection of incredibly lifelike wax figures that capture famous personalities from various fields.
As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted with a range of exhibits that showcase everything from Polish historical figures to international celebrities. The detail in the wax figures is astounding, and it’s easy to forget that they’re not real people at times! From politicians and artists to athletes and movie stars, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the highlights of the museum is the section dedicated to Polish history, which offers a fun and engaging way to learn about the country’s heritage. I loved seeing figures of famous historical figures like kings, artists, and revolutionaries, all placed in realistic settings. There are also sections with popular music and movie icons, making it a great spot for photos and selfies.
While the museum isn’t very large, it’s thoughtfully laid out and makes for a pleasant and informative experience. The staff are friendly, and you can tell they take pride in the collection. Whether you're visiting with family, friends, or on your own, Polonia Wax Museum is a fun and lighthearted stop that’ll give you some great memories and unique photos.

Read moreMy husband and myself went today , March 22nd, payed 80 zlotys. Went in , some of the wax models bore no resemblance to who they were supposed to be. It is a small enough area. Got around and then went to go down stairs and there was a red and white tape preventing us, a man came up and I asked him why, he didn't know but asked another member of staff and he said 5 minutes , ( with the language barrier he could have said something else ). We waited and waited so I went out to the reception desk. A female staff member on her phone, not speaking on it but doing something else. I stood there and she didn't even look up so I called her and explained and asked when we could continue the tour. She didn't even look at me and said not today . I said you could have told us that when we paid the entrance fee, never raised her eyes to me just continued on her phone. I went in to call my husband and on the way out I stopped and told her I wouldn't be giving a 5 star review, she still didn't look up or apologize. I have never met such a rude person . I wouldn't recommend the Wax...
Read moreYes, it's a wax museum, not too small, anything near big. On the ground floor, you can see some really nice wax celebrities, but as you go upstairs, some figurines start to change into non-wax made, especially the kid movies one, like SpongeBob didn't have nose or arms. But also start to change in a way, that they don't really match with the real things. Also, as a fans of Witcher, we were sadly surprised, that Geralt was in different museum, because they change sometimes. As for my favourite part - Harry Potter I was disappointed. Hagrid looked like he didn't eat for a few months. As for Harry, Ron and Hermione, they didn't look like the movie characters at all. Worst of all, Harry Potter didn't even have a famous scar on his head, which is what makes him him. I don't recommend visiting this place, or only prepared on...
