Stodoła — Restaurant in Krakow

If you like tasty food at great prices, then this is the place for you! Located along a street off the main square, it's easy to get to. We liked it so much we ate there 2 of the 3 nights we were there. Caters for vegetarians (photo shows salmon and potato wedge) as well as regular European/ Polish dishes- the pork loin and potato pancakes were delicious. Portions are massive and whilst the restaurant could have sold us more food than we needed, they advised us that side dishes were not needed, a rare, honest, answer from a restaurant who's main purpose is to make money! Special shout out has to go to Paulina the waitress who looked after us both nights ..and recognised us walking down the street during the day. Its that attention to customer service that really stands out. Decor is warm and welcoming with lots of wood and trestle style tables with benches, which makes for a cosy atmosphere. I genuinely can't fault this place...

Another night in Krakow, I decided to have dinner at Stodola restaurant located just outside the main square. The restaurant exuded a pleasant atmosphere, and I particularly appreciated the well-thought-out layout where the tables were comfortably spaced apart. The service was impeccable, striking the perfect balance between not being too rushed or too slow. The waiters greeted me with warm smiles and made me feel welcome throughout the evening. They were attentive and helpful, ensuring that my dining experience was enjoyable by providing excellent recommendations for both food and drinks. Speaking of the food, it was delicious. However, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the chocolate soufflé, which left me in a state of pure bliss. As a wheelchair user, I'm completely baffled by the unnecessary actions of staff here. We (5 of us) were given a perfectly accessible table that I had booked in advance until the girl told us we had to move to another table to accommodate another customer who "wanted to sit together". The new table was down the stairs which was very difficult for me to access. Another customer had to help me with my wheelchair as I struggled to get down. It turned out to be an unnecessary move as my original table was left vacant until the moment we left with just two people sitting on a table that can accommodate 6. Baffling!

Food is excellent here but service is too slow with an inadequate number of staff who clearly have no common sense and overcharged us.
