It's not worth it for a photo! As a Google guide, I try to describe here the same advice I expect to learn when I am looking for info. . No more "sustainable" swimming is allowed from the beach to the place. I believe, as reasoning from what I read, that the port authority is trying to limit accidents from happening with the increase of mass tourism by operators. . Due to social media, the increase of visitors to the area is being exploited to the extreme. An overcrowded site, with no site management and only the mayhem of ruleless speedboat operators, stands allowed in the caves (yet no landing on the beach is permitted). There is no respect for swimmers or seafarers by speedboat operators.
In my opinion, I'd suggest the maritime authority install CCTV monitoring and create rules for entry and exit of the caves. Knowing the place since my childhood, this looks like a greedy mass tourism operation to make as much as possible before the earth's dynamic takes matters into its own hands. Luckily, there are plenty of other places like this here to go, yet not to be disclosed on Google with the risk of the...
Read moreBeach itself has nothing special to offer, a lot of passing boats make it not an ideal place. We rented kayak from Taruga company for 15€ per 45 minutes to see caves and I can reccommend this. Don't take boat because they can't leave you in the cave, they only go inside and swim away after few minutes. With kayak you can stop and take picutres from a better perspective. It was first time in kayak and really everybody can make it. There was almost no waves at 9am in the morning and was not super complicated to handle this even for beginners. They don't count time and on the ticket we got there was information that we have 1 hour (not 45 minutes) but if you are late, no problem, nobody will charge you for this. Apart from this, this attraction is overestimated, nothing super special. Bad light in the cave in the morning, from around 10-10.30am the sun is getting inside the cave so perhaps it would be more effective. Worth trying but don't expect fireworks. Be sure to be on parking before 9am, otherwise it is very crowded even on...

You have to park at the top of hill and make your way down to cove where you have option of renting kayaks or doing a boat tour. You could also swim there if you were a good swimmer on a calm day. (Be very careful)
The cove offers a small restaurant you can get some drinks and food and also use the washroom.
The beach itself is small but still very beautiful but can be overwhelmed on a busy day.
We opted for the boat ride which was worth it. Unfortunately it was too rough to pull up on shore in the cave but still were able to get inside and get some amazing pictures and also enjoyed the ride along the coast and see some more beaches we wanted to visit along our road trip.
From the parking lot you can also walk along the cliff side and looked down into the cave from above....
