Benagil Beach Club — Restaurant in Lagoa

We can see that a lot of effort and investment has gone into this place, it looked great. The staff were friendly and the cocktails were good.

Unfortunately, the music was so loud that we couldn’t enjoy our drinks, let alone stay to eat. It was dominating the entire beach, even far from the bar, you could still hear it. Some of the songs had explicit lyrics, which felt inappropriate with children around.

It’s a shame, because this could be a peaceful, beautiful spot where you could hear the waves and the ocean birds. Instead, the loud music spoils the atmosphere for everyone, including other bars and local residents. It dominates the whole bay which is beautiful, apart from this one bar pumping out this horrible music.

We wanted to eat there, but we just had to leave....

While Benagil Beach Club has a fantastic view and almost fools you into believing you are in Santorini, Greece...the illusion very quickly fades away.

Food is RIDICULOUSLY over-priced were talking about an 'Angus' beef hamburger that only had one slice of tomato and one lettuce leaf and instead of chips...they accompany it with DORITOS...all for the wonderful price of EUR24! Now let's move on to the EUR15 Chicken wrap that was as anorexic as my pinky. Needless to say after paying EUR140, we were still starving and walked up the path and found Dumar Benagil restaurant where we went and had lunch because we left the beach club 'broke' and starving!

An absolute disaster! This so-called “Beach Club” is nothing more than a run-down shack with zero atmosphere. The only thing remotely beach-like here is the sand under the disgustingly dirty tables.

The food? A random mess of pizza, burgers, and poké bowls—none of it fresh, none of it special. Tasteless and ridiculously overpriced.

The service? Rude, unfriendly, and completely incompetent. You get treated like you’re an inconvenience rather than a guest. And the waiting times? Endless. The worst part? The filthy, disgusting restrooms—an absolute disgrace!

This place is a complete scam. If you’re looking for real beach club vibes, stay far away from this dump....
