Blue Xperiences SUP Benagil Caves — Local services in Lagoa

No need to look any further than Blue Xperiences. We had a very enjoyable morning kayak trip around the caves near Benagil. The main attraction, the sink hole cave, was stunning and it was very interesting to hear about its story from Diana. However it was maybe the most disappointing part of the trip as it was just too crowded with people taking photos. In my opinion some of the smaller caves were more exciting to paddle into. We were happy we were with Diana and Ana as they were really professional and respectful with regards to other groups and dealing with the busy coming and going from the main cave. Some of the other tours were not so which was a bit disappointing to see. We really enjoyed time on the open water most of all and chatting with Diana along the way. We would have maybe enjoyed kayaking a bit further as we are used to kayaking trips and like it a bit more challenging but we understand that these tours want to make it accessible for everyone. Would be interested to do a day trip if they offered that kind of tour. All in all if you are planing a trip to the caves in Benagil I would definitely recommend Bruno, Ana and Diana....

We had a great experience with Bruno! It was easy to set up the date and time over Whatsapp. Bruno was quick to reply and answer all our questions. The meeting spot is pretty easy to find and there are a few free parking lots just up the hill from the beach. Bruno had an area to secure any belongings as well as wet suits and dry bags to bring with. He carries a GoPro and captures lots of photos for you during the experience. After a short briefing about safety and the area you start on the SUP experience. You get to visit the famous Benagil cave and with low tide we got to visit another more secluded cave that was a great experience! We went in February and with the wet suits the water wasn't too cold and the experience was great. Our group was not the fastest paddle boarders so he was patient and let us go at a slower pace. He is very knowledgeable about the area and has a lot of cool info to share during the outing. Hands down I would recommend to all friends going to the area to do this! The views of the caves are gorgeous and going along the coast and seeing all the different caves and deserted beaches was fun! ...

Due to inclement weather the day before, that days clients were group with the clients scheduled to go on the same day as us. This led to increase crowding and confusion. We had a three person kayak where the guide did not adjust the seating for the three people crewing this craft. This led to very uncomfortable and painful seating and paddling. We were led to believe that we would stop and explore on foot (as indicated by the website videos) which would of been a good time to readjust our seating but this did not happen as we were then told that exploring on foot was no longer allowed. We therefore had to endure an hour and a half of uncomfortable paddling. Our female guide was excellent.
