This Starbucks, compared to others, is an utter disappointment. The pastries? Heavily overpriced—clearly catering to unsuspecting tourists. As for the drinks, they’re priced like any other Starbucks, but don’t let that fool you—it’s not much of a consolation.
The service? A mixed bag. Sometimes it’s fast, sometimes it’s slower than a snail crossing the Sahara. And don’t even think about finding a seat—it’s always packed, every bloody time. It’s like they’ve forgotten what the word accessible means. How is this acceptable? It’s a coffee shop, not a standing-room-only concert venue!
Now, the staff—friendly, yes, but hopelessly disorganized. They seem perpetually confused when it comes to names. Mispronunciations? Constant. Getting your name or drink right feels like winning the lottery. And the drink coverings? Forget it—wrong lids, no straws, missing napkins. You have to ask for everything as if you’re begging for a favor. Absolutely dreadful in...
Read moreThe hot chocolate was lukewarm, the chai latte was tasting bad so we didn’t drink it. And as I was sitting outside waiting for my friend to get our coffee and tea, I was asked by the staff why I am sitting there??? A white middle aged man wanted to have that seat!! Since when are people asked in Starbucks why they are sitting there while waiting for their order? Was it because I was not jut a female but also a person of color??? Many people were seating there( mostly white) but no one was asked! And I thought no discrimination in Portugal! Very disappointing. I suggest instead of bothering people who looks different remove the empty cups! I have been in many star-bucks in different countries but for the first time I was asked to explain why I occupy a seat because that customer (white man) probably believed he has some...
Read moreI was served by Francisco, and sadly the service was less than pleasant, I requested two items that were part of an existing promotion, paid a total of 7,90€, when I could’ve paid 7,20€ for my items and an extra one, at no moment did the attendant suggest this promo that would’ve benefited me. Still when I noticed this, I kindly asked if it was possible to cancel my request so I could make a new one, and the manager on site, just blankly said No, with no justification. Also, Francisco never asked for the size of my drink, and just assumed I wanted a Grande. It’s not a big difference monetarily, but I still feel like I was stolen and put at a disadvantage.
(On the left, my friend’s receipt with the promo, on the...
