We met a lady with her kids on the bus and got to talking about fun places to take kids in Lisboa and this place was her first recommendation. A huge space for experimentation and hands-on activities. There was a room with many exhibits based on science where you could interact, another area was more of a playground, with a circus theme and many bright and colorful games. On the ground floor, another area was dedicated to technological experimentation, such as robots, gadgets, I believe I see some craft workshop, too. The open space on the ground floor was dedicated to dinosaurs, with beautiful full scale animatronics! And to the sides, more areas for activities such as digging for bones in the sand.

My only disappointment with the place was that the cafeteria was outside the exhibition areas. It wasn't clear whether we could actually come back in after having something to eat/drink which is a shame because the kids could definitely stay in there for hours, but not without water, haha! On the plus side, a family ticket for 2 adults + kids cost us 30€ which was well the price, bar that last remark.

Highly recommended, especially if you can go back in from the cafeteria. Then you're likely to spend a whole afternoon to let the kids...

Great place, both grownups and kids had fun, we tried everything and it took us 4h, it's smaller than Science museum in Malta but they have some same elements.

It's devided into an exhibition on the: ground floor, this year it was pixar animation studio, mostly interesting for 8+ because of it's complexity. On the first floor there are two separate parts plus some cool things on the way. First room has many interesting parts, the coolest of all spins you around all three axis BUT has a height limit, with children having to be at least 130cm AND reach bottom part with legs. Other stations regard waves, optics, ilusions, plus there's a huge bubble maker, table of pins, a plasma ball and so on. The other room, called circus, is well lit, huge, with separate part for smallest of kids and many cool things for kids and elders of all ages, like bed of nails and riding a one-wheeler. There are stations where you listen tk different sounds or smell different smells and then guss what it was, that was fun for whole family. Also there's a climbing wall for those with extra energy to throw at it :) Also, on the 1st floor there's an aquarium room where childrens paintings come to life. Everyone working there was very young and...

I had the chance to see the Pavilhão do Conhecimento – Ciência Viva in Lisbon from the outside, and even without going in, it left a strong impression on me. The building itself is striking and modern, with bold lines and a creative design that instantly communicates its role as a hub for science and innovation. Its location in Parque das Nações makes it even more special, surrounded by other impressive contemporary architecture and right near the river, which adds to the experience of simply walking around the area.

The exterior space feels open and welcoming, with clean surroundings and plenty of room to walk and admire the structure. It’s the kind of building that makes you want to explore what’s inside because the design is so eye-catching. Even just pausing outside, you get the sense that this is a place dedicated to curiosity, learning, and forward thinking.

For me, seeing it from the outside was already rewarding. It felt like part of Lisbon’s modern identity, blending culture, education, and architecture in one spot. If the inside is as inspiring as the outside promises, I can only imagine how much more impressive the full...
