Where Manga Meets Culinary Mastery 🍜

Nestled in the modern surroundings of Nations Park, Shifu Ramen has transformed a contemporary space into an immersive celebration of Japanese pop culture and authentic ramen craftsmanship. The moment you approach, you're greeted by a festive balloon arch in turquoise, red, and gold, setting a playful tone that perfectly bridges Portuguese hospitality with Japanese energy.

Atmosphere & Decor: The restaurant's dedication to anime culture is extraordinary - every surface tells a story. The walls are adorned with vibrant manga artwork, featuring characters from beloved series like Dragon Ball and Demon Slayer. Even the restroom continues this artistic journey! The centerpiece is an impressive Dragon Ball statue that commands attention, while traditional Japanese lanterns cast a warm glow across the dining area.

Culinary Experience: The kitchen team demonstrates a deep understanding of ramen craftsmanship. Their broth is nothing short of liquid poetry - rich, complex, and velvety smooth on the palate. I began with their kimchi, which showcased perfect fermentation and crunch, setting high expectations for what was to follow.

Standout Features: Innovative duck breast variation that adds a Portuguese twist to traditional ramen Customizable spice levels with table-side sauce options Thoughtfully designed bowls featuring the restaurant's distinctive branding Attentive, genuinely enthusiastic staff who enhance the dining experience

Practical Tips: Located in Nations Park, easily accessible via public transport Spacious interior with plenty of seating Perfect for both solo dining and group meals Clean, well-maintained facilities Prices align with quality offering (specific prices can be added)

If you're seeking a ramen experience that honors traditional techniques while embracing modern creativity, Shifu Ramen delivers magnificently. The attention to detail - from the manga-inspired decor to the carefully crafted broths - creates an environment where every bowl tells a story.

Dining at Shifu Ramen was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we walked in, we were transported into a vibrant, anime-themed oasis that perfectly blended delicious cuisine with immersive atmosphere.

We sampled a variety of dishes including the flavorful wings, perfectly crisp pot stickers, the rich and savory beef ramen, and the bold, spicy fried chicken ramen. Each dish was executed to perfection—bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and crafted with care. It’s clear the chefs here are passionate about their craft.

But Shifu Ramen is more than just a place to eat—it’s an experience. For anime enthusiasts, this is an absolute dream come true. The restaurant is decked out with both classic and contemporary anime memorabilia, paired with a soundtrack that keeps the energy upbeat and nostalgic. The ambiance is stylish and modern with a whimsical twist—and the highlight of the evening? A singing robot that surprised me for my birthday celebration! It was unforgettable.

This is truly a hidden gem that deserves all the attention. Whether you’re a foodie, an anime fan, or just looking for a unique dining adventure, Shifu Ramen delivers on all fronts.

We will definitely be back—and next time,...

Wow - I arrived at 9pm with my daughter, son and husband, we had walked past the night before when we were exploring the Oriente area by our hotel and thought it looked great.

We stood by the entrance and looked at the menu - the staff were amazing not pushy at all, they simply offered a more detailed menu for us to look at which was great.

I was really pleased with the quick service, my son totally loves all ramen dishes, he ordered the chicken ramen which was delicious, really great quality food, super hot and massive! My daughter had the child’s menu and myself and husband ordered lots of starters. All came really quickly, excellent quality, hot and good sized portions.

The waitresses and waiters were all amazing, so sweet to my children and spoke good English which helped as we know no Portuguese.

They gave lots of free gifts to my children which they loved.

I would definitely recommend anyone to go there, especially families as the atmosphere, service and food is outstanding.

Thank you, thank you...

(Forgot to take a picture of the Takoyaki 🍡 but it was the best appetizer i’ve ever had btw) i discovered this hidden gem because of the Hello Kitty Day they organized and we decided to go. We ordered peanut butter sauce ramen and kimchi rice and even though the restaurant was packed, it was brought out super quickly and both tasted amazing. It is super well decorated as well. Also, the owner (?) was super kind to me as we left, she gave me a hello kitty pin, hair clip, chips for their claw machine AND this adorable sanrio sticker sheet 🥹🫶🏼 prices were super affordable too for the great quality so I would really recommend for a date or even a family night out :)

If you are ever in Portugal you MUST visit here. Japanese food with great vibes and a really funky setting. The staff here in Lisbon at Alameda dos Oceanos are just AMAZING ! Thank you so much for looking after us and the Beef Ramon is stunning but . . When ordering spice level 1-5 we can confirm level 4 needs a fire extinguisher side dish 🥵🌶️ Leu and Sushila and all the staff were outstanding thank you so much for making the dining experience so much fun.
