Superlative Sushi. This was really a very wonderful eating experience. We arrived a bit too early for the amazing all you can eat option and the server seated us and offered us drinks. Then Dada from Brazil helped us understand the situation better, and this was so helpful to us. Once we hat a drink, João described each item in detail and of course we opted for the 'all you eat dinner' We ordered tempura with the starter, and the starter of scallop, cucumber salad and gyoza was lovely. The tempura was tasty. The cheese tekpura was new to us, but lovely. Then arrived the 'Combinado' a wonderful platter of sushi with dry ice rolling off, it was stunningly incredible. And so tasty! We loved the wide and flavoursome selection. So much so we ordered the platter again... And devoured the delicious delicacies a second time! We were delighted with Sushi that was not known to us, incredible chefs here, for sure. The Okanonmiyaki is very interesting, with a fascinating history. The 'seeet set' with cream cheese, strawberry and compote and salmon was mind blowingly good. Who knew? Great work. Thank you. Really lovely restaurant, stylishly set out, loveky relaxed atmosphere and a fun and welcoming team, with incredibly good, fresh sushi. Dada agd João were fabulous to us, such a welcome. A boutique kind of sushi place in Parque das Nações. There's a little bit of traditional sushi, but most is either the Portuguese take on sushi or Arigato's own interpretation. A great buffet experience, although there were a couple non-traditional varieties (jam) I wasn't adventurous enough to try. If you're a sushi is sushi kind of guy like me, this place is probably a three or four. I don't want hot or heavy food served before a meal with delicate flavors like sushi, which Arigato does. But that didn't impact my rating, as it is common in Portugal and my lunch mate wanted some anyway. The same goes for the fruit/ dessert style sushi. Not my thing, but it didn't impact my rating since it's very common in Portugal. What earns it a four/five are the gin tonics served here. Might be worth just dropping in for a drink.

The restaurant has a nice choice of fusion sushi dishes. The soft crab taco had an odd flavour, so I would not recommend this dish. However, the white fish sashimi with truffle ponzu, the black rice maki with salmon, were an absolute delight and totally made it worth going there. The salmon tataki is quite nice, but it contains peanuts and peanut sauce, so beware if you have allergies. The environment is a bit crowded as the tables have part of the seating on a sofa, and people are sitting almost on top of one another. That was a low point on the overall experience. The service was quite slow as well between some dishes, which also did not help to the overall experience. There are wine pairings and cocktail pairing that is recommended. We chose the Bonsai, a gin with cucumber ponzu that was quite light and fresh.

I am delighted to share my refined sentiments regarding Arigato Sushi, nestled within the tranquil environs of Parque das Nações in Lisbon. During our recent visit, we were treated to an experience brimming with elegance and sophistication, surpassed only by the impeccable customer service we received.

From the moment we stepped through the restaurant's doors, we were greeted with an air of warmth and genuine hospitality. Our journey commenced with the graceful presence of Iago, the esteemed host who flawlessly orchestrated our evening. His attentiveness and gracious demeanor set the tone for an extraordinary dining affair.

Under the guidance of Ana Julia, our dedicated server, we were enlightened on the culinary treasures that awaited us. With her profound knowledge of the menu, she adeptly guided us through a symphony of flavors, ensuring each dish was thoughtfully presented and tailored to our discerning palates. Ana Julia's passion for her craft was palpable, as she effortlessly transformed our dining experience into an unforgettable masterpiece.

A notable mention must be made of Carlos, a remarkable member of the Portuguese staff who added a distinct touch of authenticity to our evening. His affable nature and astute suggestions showcased the pride he took in sharing the culinary delights of his heritage. Through Carlos' guidance, we explored a spectrum of flavors that seamlessly intertwined tradition and innovation.

The gastronomic offerings at Arigato Sushi exceeded all expectations. With each artfully crafted plate that graced our table, we were transported to a realm where exquisite flavors danced upon our palates. The culinary prowess of the chefs was evident in every bite, as their masterpieces tantalized our senses and left an indelible impression on our gastronomic memories.

Beyond the culinary delights, the atmosphere within Arigato Sushi was an oasis of pristine refinement. The elegant décor, harmoniously balanced with the subtle melodies that filled the air, created an ambiance that was nothing short of enchanting. The meticulous attention to detail and immaculate presentation added a further layer of sophistication to our dining experience.

However, it is the exemplary service we received that truly distinguished Arigato Sushi. The remarkable trio of Iago, Ana Julia, and Carlos worked in seamless harmony, orchestrating a symphony of service that left us feeling truly cherished. Their genuine care and dedication to ensuring our utmost satisfaction elevated our evening to extraordinary heights.

Good location and friendly service, but the sushi deal was a huge letdown. We asked if we could have a more traditional sushi experience, and the waitress told us it wasn't possible with the menu deal. Instead, we had to pick from other options, so we chose the 24 piece traditional sushi and the 24 piece sashimi moriawase.

Unfortunately, what we got wasn’t even close to what we expected. The sushi was okay in terms of taste, but it was far from traditional. It seemed like they simply removed the sauces from the fusion version and kept everything else. Same plating, same over the top presentation with small pieces of sashimi. This was not what we wanted when we asked for traditional sushi.

The sashimi moriawase was another issue. It came with a large, barely cut piece of salmon that I had to ask for a knife and fork to cut, which was frustrating... I mean... it's sashimi. There were also propper sized pieces of sashimi and, to make up the numbers for the "24 pieces", there was a single shrimp chopped into tiny bits, which didn’t even come close to feeling like a proper portion.

Overall, the meal wasn't bad in terms of taste, but it was incredibly disappointing. The experience was nothing like what we were led to believe it would be, and I felt like we got very little value for what we paid. The deal was misleading, and it just didn’t deliver on any level... definitely not the traditional sushi experience we...
