The garden is well designed (though not very large) and especially beautiful in bloom. Access with pets is permitted; there is no entrance fee. To enter, go into King Mihai I (Herastrau) park from Arcul de Triumf plaza, walk forward on the alley and turn right on the first alley - you will see the entrance to the Japanese Gardens on the right.

The Japanese cherry trees usually bloom in mid-spring (this year -2022- they bloomed mid April) and stay in bloom for 1-2 weeks, depending on weather.

There is space in the back for picnic blankets, but some parts can get muddy...

More than beautiful, especially in April when the cherry trees are blooming. It is so nice, a lot of people around, some of them having a picnic, other staying on the grass under the amazing trees, and the children playing in this wonderful garden.....it is must place to visit in Herastrau Park/King...

The japanese garden is wondeful to visit, especially in April. If you want to see the white cherry flowers you should visit in the first week of April and for the pink ones in the third week. Very nice place taking photos, having a picnic or just admiring the flowers.
