La Maree — Restaurant in Arbat District

Food was delicious! We ordered a seafood soup, scallop carpaccio and the king crab in truffle sauce. We split the food between the two of us. The seafood soup had squid, mussels, clams, and shrimp. The soup base was like a carrot purée type.

The atmosphere was a bit strange for us. There was a couple who requested for Russian pop songs that didn’t really fit the atmosphere. They danced near our table and the speakers were next to the table so we requested to move. The waiter didn’t seem to want us to move and offered one seat over. In general, it felt like the waiter was barely there but also wanted to rush us out. At some point they turned the lights off on us while we were eating dessert. Отмечали юбилей в La Maree Смоленка. Огромное спасибо ! Было замечательно - еда, атмосфера , обслуживание. Пасту делал повар итальянец, это было гастрономическое шоу. Вынос торта с бенгальскими огнями - целое событие. Особенно хочется отметить управляющего Сергея Шевцова, который все , что можно предусмотрел ,коллектив официантов ( Наталья совершенно замечательная) и барменов, которые были снисходительны к проказам...
