Wax Museum — Attraction in City of San Marino

ATTENZIONE TRUFFA! Costo 7.50€ a persona, ti invogliano con gentilezza ad entrare raccontando che ci sono anche "Antichi strumenti di tortura" (riportato anche sul biglietto!). Riassunto della visita: piano terra grande si e no 50mq con statue di cera al limite dell'imbarazzo. Piano superiore di circa 90mq con altrettante statue imbarazzanti e fatte malissimo e 2/3 ghigliottine che neanche da Toy Center le trovi fatte così male. Visita terminata in meno di 3 minuti, a dispetto di quanto detto all'ingresso dove si prevedeva una visita di 20 minuti!!! Lo traduco addirittura in altre lingue in modo che nessuno possa rimanere fregato. EVITATE QUESTO POSTO! BEWARE SCAM! Zusammenfassung des Besuchs: Etwa 50 m² großes Erdgeschoss mit Wachsstatuen, die an Peinlichkeit grenzen. Obergeschoss von etwa 90 m² mit so vielen peinlichen und sehr schlecht gemachten Statuen und 2/3 Guillotinen, dass man nicht einmal im Toy Center so schlecht gemachte finden kann. Der Besuch war in weniger als 3 Minuten abgeschlossen, trotz der Aussage am Eingang, wo ein 20-minütiger Besuch erwartet wurde!!! Ich übersetze es sogar in andere Sprachen, damit sich niemand täuschen lässt. Vermeiden Sie diesen Ort! ATTENTION ARNAQUE ! Coûtant 7,50 € par personne, ils vous encouragent gentiment à entrer en leur indiquant qu'il existe également des « Instruments de torture anciens » (également indiqués sur le billet !). Résumé de la visite : rez-de-chaussée d'environ 50m2 avec statues de cire à la limite de la gêne. Étage supérieur d'environ 90m2 avec autant de statues gênantes et très mal faites et 2/3 de guillotines qu'on ne trouve pas d'aussi mal faites même pas au Toy Center. Visite réalisée en moins de 3 minutes, malgré ce qui a été dit à l'entrée où une visite de 20 minutes était prévue !!! Je le traduis même dans d’autres langues pour que personne ne se laisse tromper. Disclaimer This is a wax museum and not a torture museum - there is a torture museum in San Marino but it’s a completely different museum.

In all fairness, we should have checked properly, however the ticket is called “Museo Delle Cere Antichi Strumenti Di Tortura” so it is a bit misleading.

The museum is relatively small in size and contains a small selection of odd / creepy wax figures from history, and then there are a small number of torture instruments at the end. It all felt a bit thrown together, dated and crude.

The waxwork museum was fantastic. At €4 it isn't exactly pricey, and you get what you pay for, but that's the charm of it. Half of the museum is full of highly entertaining waxworks of historical figures (some more controversial than others...), and then, with no warning, the remaining half of the museum is full of waxworks of medieval torture or execution techniques.
