Beautiful city! Novi Sad is a city in northern Serbia on the banks of the Danube River. Standing atop a riverside bluff, much of Petrovaradin Fortress dates to the 17th and 18th centuries, with an iconic clock tower and a network of tunnels. Across the river is the old quarter, Stari Grad, site of the Gothic Revival Name of Mary Church and the neo-Renaissance City Hall. Running through Stari Grad are Zmaj Jovina and Dunavska, picturesque streets lined with cafes and shops. The Museum of Vojvodina showcases local history as well as European paintings. Other landmarks include the Novi Sad Synagogue, built in the early 1900s, and now hosting cultural events. The Strand is a beach along the Danube, while Danube Park is another popular outdoor spot for relaxing. Just outside the city, much of Fruška Gora mountain is protected as a national park. On its slopes are Velika Remeta and other Serbian Orthodox monasteries.

We came to this this beautiful town and square during our river cruise. it is the most prominent place in Novi Sad. There are a lot of historical buildings around beside the famous Mary Church and statue of Svetozar Miletic. All the cultural events including Christmas market take place here. It was very easy to move around here because it was a pedestrian zone.

The square in the heart of the old town is a true gem, surrounded by impressive architecture that captivates both during the day and at night. Beautiful, historic buildings create a unique atmosphere full of history and majesty. During the day, the square bustles with life, serving as a popular meeting spot for locals and tourists alike. However, it’s at night that it truly shines, with illuminated facades taking on a magical glow and the quiet, atmospheric streets creating a completely different mood, perfect for a stroll. This is a place that changes its character depending on the time of day, offering entirely different yet equally enchanting experiences. It’s definitely worth a visit, regardless of the time of day, to experience the extraordinary charm of...
