Escape @ Science Centre though relatively new (7ish months), had several broken components/puzzles which made the experience less than ideal. The stories to the rooms are available online and if the staff narrated it before putting us in the room, the experience would’ve been much better. However, it seems like majority of the staff are not service-trained, do not understand how escape rooms are best enjoyed and would probably benefit from additional training.
That being said, the puzzles are honestly quite novel and a breath of fresh air from your typical number/alphabet locks. Novelties like the use of mobile phones with cellular reception and splitting the party but requiring them to solve puzzles together was well appreciated! Entry into Science Center being included is also greatly appreciated.
It’s honestly disappointing that the only way to ensure that only your group is present is by purchasing all 8 tickets for the time slot. Especially when some rooms really shouldn’t have any more than 4. This is clearly stated in the T&Cs, but it’s clear that some people don’t read it.
Overall: ✅ Novel puzzles ✅ Largely beginner-friendly ✅ Free entry to Science Center ❌ Poorly trained staff ❌ Puzzles slightly broken ❌ Others may purchase tickets for the same slot as your group
Specifically about the rooms: #1 Museum of Humankind: • Recommended no. of pax: max 4 • Not recommended for individuals with claustrophobia
#2 Shangri-La: • Recommended no. of pax: 4 • Recommended to wear a mask, high tops or boots and don’t plan for any other activities after this
#3 Dr. X: • Recommended no. of pax: max 4 • Contrary to what is expected, the person being separated from the group is in the least scary part of the escape room. Recommended that this individual has prior experience with escape rooms. • Not recommended for individuals with severe hemophobia (honestly, looks more like red paint than blood, but just putting...

Misled by a directional sign that led us to a closed entrance, had to circle back and ended up late. Led into the escape room without instructions on when we could begin, only realised it was so when we spotted that the obscure timer had started the countdown. Contraption for one room wasn’t working. It could only be confirmed after the countdown ended and a staff tested it out. We were unable to try out the next room…
Staff were unapologetically unpleasant and sarcastic through the entire process. Overwhelmingly disappointing experience on an off day. Do...
Read moreA really good escape room with a vibrant set up which includes dramatic lights and creative gameplay mechanics. It does get fun and physical too when you have to search for objects in the room or climb or crouch through things. The only thing that could be better is that they have few rooms and run hourly so they adhere to the 1 hour time schedule for each experience, which makes the experience really short. It may be different from other escape rooms in the sense where some of them extend the time for you to ensure you reach the end. Also, if you’re late they won’t start the timer when you enter but at the time the experience is supposed to start. So do be on time when...
