I came to Shaw Jcube on 7 July at around 9:35am to book tickets for the 9:45am slot of Spiderman Far From Home. There was an extremely long line of queue at the ticket counter as I suspect they were trying to redeem the 1-for-1 movie Sunday promo. I immediately checked my phone and tried to make an online booking, but was unable to as online bookings are closed 10 mins prior to the movie timing. I asked one of the staff if I was required to join the long queue to buy the tickets to a movie that is going to start in less than 10 mins time and she said yes. So I ended up queuing for a good 20 minutes and finally got my tickets at around 9:56am. Thankfully, the movie itself hasn't started yet as they were playing movie trailers until 10am. Nevertheless, it was a terrible experience trying to obtain tickets for immediate viewing and having to compete with the long queue of people who are supposedly booking tickets for movies at a later time slot. It was also a dumb idea to prevent online bookings 10 mins prior to the movie time slot. I almost ended up being late for the movie showing...
Read moreThe malay lady manager here @ JCUBE sucks big time and the counter ticketing lady QISTINA uses the "F" word just infront of me and my daughter as she made a mistake with the lady infront of me.
We were at the theatre on 17th June 2018. We were there at 8.30am, the shutters opened at 8.45am and by that time the Q got long and we the front people were overtaken by the late comers and I went to the malay lady manager of Jcube theatre and to simply say she couldn't be the slightest bothered about what I just told her and all she did was just nod her head. Than knowing I am talking to a DUMB woman I walked away and joined the Q. In about 5 minutes she herself opened a new counter and she saw me in the Q and she didn't even bother to call me and just called the rest. This is how SHAW MANAGER IS WORKING!!!
I really hope that if ever SHAW management reads the feedback they will do...
Read moreTerrible place to catch a movie, exit signs are placed so close to the screen in an effort to blind you. If someone goes to the toilet in the middle of the movie the whole theatre gets lit up when they open the curtains. And this is their IMAX laser experience. Also if you don't sit at the centre of theatre, the screen would appear brighter in the center and darker everywhere. And it suffers from terrible black crush, so much detail gets lost in low-light scenes. Movie reference: Dune.
Pros: the popcorn was really good. They have a good deal for combos
Supervisor was terrible, we bought tickets on the wrong date but she wouldn't let us change it and watch the movie even though the theatre was almost empty.
Overall, you would only go to this place if you hate yourself...
