Conscious Meat Merchants at Markers Landing. The meat was delicious, sadly the toast was burnt. See picture. The till in the middle of the smokey kitchen was not ideal. My clean hair smells of a braai now. I would suggest a till set up outside the actual kitchen. They have a cordoned off area for reserved Muslim dining. No alcohol to be consumed in the area. Sadly, their signs stating this was not erected yet. The manager still found it nessasry to come tell us that that our 1 glass of wine will not be allowed in future once the signs are up. I found this totally offensive because we were all settled in and bought R320 food from them. What was the purpose to come warn us for the future? Ok, you are eating here now and you do have 1 glass of wine BUT once our signs are up, we will not allow this. I will not return because you offended me more than me having the utmost respect for Halaal traditions. If you sign was up, I would not have any problem. It was a pointless power play. We moved to a other seating area and had to cart all our food on trays. We did this out of respect. Wish someone had respect...

Read moreHad an overall great experience at this market. It still seems a bit raw and unfinished but I’m sure post-Covid it will grow. A can’t recommend a Mosi bowl more (the lamb is amazing with the chakalaka) paired with a light local beer (available upstairs). The koesisters from Fuzzy’s are great too, super moist and yummy. I had the raclette baguette from The Cheese Pod which I enjoyed and keen to try their other cheese options. Pitso’s looked like a vibe and had quite loud music playing in the background. There is dedicated parking lot right next to the market which is currently free for 3 hours. You just need to validate your ticket at the bar downstairs before leaving. This market can be easily navigated with a baby pram or wheelchair. The view from the upstairs bar is amazing, would definitely enjoy my food and drinks up there next time. They also have an interesting display of local and traditional ingredients upstairs which is worth...
