We had previously booked an outing for our school of 45 children for today. We arrived at the Melrose branch at 9H15 for our booked 10H00 slot and there was no sign of anyone being there. Everything was locked with roller shutters down. The care taker said that no one was coming to work today. I called the head office who could see our booking on the system and asked us to wait 40 minutes with our 45 preschoolers. When I asked about toilet facilities the lady on the line asked me if I couldn't take the children to a nearby Garage !! Eventually staff started to arrive as well as other schools who had booked for the day as well. Although apologetic and tried to appease my staff with free Cokes it was evident they were understaffed. We even eventually had to remove the harnesses from the children in order for us to leave. Needless to say we did not make it for our dismissal time. During this afternoon alone I received no less tan five calls from Acrobranch querying the payment balance that that they could not find on their system. I had actually made the payment before we set out for our visit but wish I hadn't. Terrible unprofessional service. Head office administration was pathetic and staff attitude left a lot...
Read moreAmazing experience, I enjoyed this better than MegaClimb in Singapore because the courses are long and you get to zipline a lot. Great value for money as well R280 for 2 hours. I highly recommend getting the combo special that includes the blue course, red course, Tarzan swing and big zip. You can start on the blue course (medium) to get comfortable and then tackle the red course which is the highest and most challenging. You'll be walking across logs, broken bridges, swinging on ropes to grab onto nets, at 8m high, not super high but still fun. Certainly requires bravery, good grip and good balance. It's full of adrenaline and the big zip is so much fun to experience. Fantastic experience! If you've got a fear of heights I actually encourage you to try this, you'll overcome that fear at the end and it's fun. You'll be holding on for dear life. Also, make sure you're wearing breathable clothing, something loose, some shoes with good grip and wear gloves or else your hands are going to get so many cuts. Kevin was also a fantastic instructor and did a quick safety briefing and guided me from the ground on how to approach every obstacle. It's a lot of fun and a great...
Read moreTook my 5 god children there on Friday. They were overbooked, unprofessional. One of the girls got stuck at one of the obstacles on the red route, the kids asked for assistance and the guide on the ground flat out refused more than once, told them she must help herself until I lost it?! I could not get up there to assist, she was so upset and they would not help! Very disappointed. At a previous acro branch experience there was at least 2 guides per group of kids going up with them. When I spoke to the manager he said they dont have enough staff.. The kids on the green also struggled with no assistance from staff. They let a 6yr old go on the green unassisted who should not have been there. The manager told me very arrogantly that its not his responsibility, the dad was supposed to do the course with her.... he did nothing when he saw that the dad is not on the course with her, (the dad left her and went and did the blue route) he let her struggle, I had to help her and my...
