Manuel de Falla House Museum — Attraction in Granada

I really enjoyed visiting the home of La Falla. The small house is exactly the way he lived there during the Civil War. He was already famous and had many notably famous friends. Momentos from them adorn the house. My guides were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The view of the city from the house is breathtaking. The only problem is finding the house! Closed when the advertised schedule says it is open. Not easy to find, as there are no signs at the gate of the complex. When we got there, the gates were closed and appeared locked, but we found they were open and walked down to the gate of the house, which carried a notice informing us that it was closed till September, that is to say, until the tourists leave. Das Haus, in dem Manuel de Falla von 1921 - 1939 gelebt hat, liegt unterhalb der berühmten Alhambra und ist ein ganz zauberhafter Ort. Ich war am 11.Juni 2022 dort früh morgens und war der einzige Besucher. Eine sehr nette Dame zeigte mir das Museum und erzählte dazu vieles aus de Fallas Leben. Die Gegenstände im Museum inklusive seinem Pleyel Klavier und seiner Schreibmaschine sind alle noch im Original vorhanden. Es gibt zahlreiche Bilder, Manuskripte und Bücher. Der Blick aus dem Wohnzimmer bietet einen fantastischen Ausblick auf die Stadt Granada. Sehr malerisch ist auch der Garten mit wunderbaren Bäumen, Pflanzen und der Büste von Manuel de Falla. Leider sind immer noch zu wenige deutsche Musikliebhaber dort gewesen. Ich lege es wirklich jedem Musikinteressierten ans Herz, dieses Museum und die wunderbare Stadt Granada einmal zu besuchen! In diesem Haus waren sehr viele Freunde von de Falla wie Debussy, Stravinsky oder Wanda Landowska zu Gast. Im daneben gelegenen Auditorium Manuel de Falla gab es noch eine Ausstellung. Mir hat der Aufenthalt dort sehr gefallen und sollte ich wieder einmal nach Granada kommen, besuche ich dieses Museum...
