Restaurante Jardines Alberto — Restaurant in Granada

If zero stars was possible then that in itself would have been a generous rating. From the moment we entered, me and my partner felt hostility from the waiters and it was very clear they wanted us in and out, as quick as possible (take a guess why!).

For such bland, repulsive and unpalatable cuisine, you'd like to believe they could at least compensate with half decent and attentive customer service but no... the arrogant waiters like to make it seem they are doing YOU a favour by taking your order, with their bottom barrel attitudes.

The choice of dishes me and my partner chose:

The starter was fried prawns and whilst the prawns were relatively fresh; they were absolutely drenched in butter, rancid and unnecessary!

The quarter chicken I had ordered was absolutely nauseating, and the side was one baby potato. Yes, you read that right. One. Baby. Potato. I have not even such outlandish behaviour in Michelin star restaurants! but this excuse of a restaurant seems to think it is okay! they even tried to make that one potato look cute

Now to the star of the show (lol) my partner's dish, a chicken breast dish with chips. The chicken breast looked so bland and upset that I even considered appreciating my monstrosity of a meal for a second. Repugnant, nasty, bland and just overall absolute garbage.

There was a young waitress who was polite and very helpful but the rest of them - absolute garbage who should reconsider their line of work because clearly they are not privy on how to provide basic entry level customer service.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE AND...

After a long day touring the ever gorgeous Alhambra and nearly dying of thirst in the process, one would want nothing more than to sit down and enjoy a good meal. My family and I experienced this same situation. Thankfully, Jardines Alberto was the perfect end to a long day. Just a short walk away from the Alhambra, Jardines Alberto offered something for everybody whether it was the chicken and French fries (grilled obviously, we’re not maniacs), the croquettes, or the grilled octopus, they had it all. We ordered the cheese plate and some croquettes to start. The croquettes were the perfect comfort food to wind down, with their signature hot steamy centers and flaky fried crust. The cheese board was slightly less exciting. The cheeses were dry but overall quite decent. For mains, I ordered the grilled octopus which was incredible but very heavy and left me feeling off. The grilled chicken was (as usual) a crowd pleaser hitting home with familiar flavors and textures. The burger was less than stellar, the fried calamari was flavorful but chewy, the fried fish was untouched, and the shrimp had a butter sauce that paired marvelously with the French fries. I went to see the Alhambra Palace and have lunch. It was close to Alhambura Palace, the restaurant was large and the atmosphere was nice. However, even considering that it was a busy time, the older male employee (with silver hair and wearing a black vest) was very unfriendly. There was no one waiting in front of us, but we waited for 30 minutes without any guidance. However, even after we were seated, no one came to take our order, and 35 minutes later, when we gestured to the waiter, the waiter harshly yelled at us to wait. After about 40 minutes, a friendly Asian female waitress took our order, and another 20 minutes later, the food came out. I ordered today's menu, and the fried eggplant was not bad. but the seafood tomato soup, chicken steak and tomato cream risotto were honestly not that good. I can’t see any sea food in soup, risotto is over cooked and not warm, Chicken steak is not crispy at all. Even I can’t feel tomato flavor. Honestly I can’t feel any taste.

But the male waiter put the plate down on the table so roughly that it made a loud noise. He spoke to himself in Spanish as he put the food down on the table. I don't speak Spanish, but I could clearly tell that he wasn't saying anything friendly to us. The food was honestly so-so. I was already in a bad mood, so I left almost all my food behind. I'm usually tolerant of restaurant service, but this was truly rude and hard to understand.

Thank you for your quick reply. you are right. The other waiters were wearing black polo shirts and black pants. The silver-haired gentleman was wearing a white shirt, a black (or dark gray) vest, and black (or dark gray) pants. So I also thought that his rank might not be waiter. So I thought he might be someone higher than the waiter (maybe manager?), so I gave up on making a complaint. At least the employee at your restaurant that day was really rude. (I don't know if he was an employee, a manager, or the owner, but anyway, the behavior of the silver-haired gentleman who served my table that day was really rude) - It's not recently that I visited your restaurant. But I remember every moment clearly. It was my last trip with my mother, who was 70 years old at the time. I have attached one more photo I took at the time. The restaurant name is there.

한국분들은 꼭 보세요. • 앞에 기다리는 사람 없고 빈테이블 있었는데 안내없이 30분 대기하다 다시 말해서 겨우 들어감. •주문하려고 20분 대기하다 못해 부르니 불쾌한 표정으로 스페인어로 뭐라 소리지름. • 주문하려는데 안와서 얌전히 총 35분 대기,우리보다 늦게 온 테이블은 먼저 주문 다 받음. 35분 지나서 어쩔수 없이 불러서 주문. 영어로 해도 스페인어로만 말해서 어쩔 수 없이 그날의 메뉴시킴) 주문은 동남아계 여성 직원이 받아줌 .. 유일하게 친절.. • 주문하고 20분 걸려 음식 나왔는데 다시 그 남자직원이 불쾌한 표정으로 접시를 쾅 하고 소리가 나게 놓고 감. 심지어 주위 옆테이블에서 모두 놀라 쳐다볼 정도. 엄마는 놀라서 의자에서 살짝 펄쩍 뛰었음. 접시 깨지는 줄… •음식.. 그날의 메뉴를 시켰는데 맛이 명확하지 않고 이상했음. 간도 재료도 모두 부실해 밍밍( 토마토 해물 스프인데 너무 묽고 해물은 없고, 크림 리조토에서 크림이 적게 들어가 치킨 조미료 냄새만 .나고, 리조토인데 퉁퉁 불어있고) 음식이 담은 모양새부터 다른 테이블과 많이 달랐음. 메뉴 델 디아 인데 다른 테이블에 아무도 저렇게 생긴게 없었어요. 다 다른 음식인데 맛이 다 똑같고 밍밍하고, 조미료 맛만.. 니맛도 내맛도 아닌 이상한 맛이었어요. 사진참고. (참고로 전 20개국 이상 여행했고 길거리식당부터 미슐랭 식당까지 섭렵한 사람이고 제가 한식부터 양식까지 수준급으로 요리할줄 아는데.. 절대 제대로 만든 음식이 아니더군요) •보통 관광지 식당에선 다 그려려니 하는데 이런정도로 대놓고 인종차별하는 식당은 평생 처음 봅니다. 스페인어 알아들었으면 정말 더 가관이었을듯. 스페인어를 못하지만 결코 우호적인 말을 한것은 아니라는 것은 알 수 있었어요. 음식 다 남기고 그날 엄마는 넘 스트레스 받아 체햇어요. 엄마가 연세도 있고 그날 많이 걸어서 다른 식당으로 못옮겼는데 후회됩니다. • 저희에게 서빙한 직원은 은발의 나이가 있는 백인 남자 이었어요. 그 남자만 셔츠에 양복조끼를 입은 걸로 보아 일반 서버가 아니라 매니저 정도로 보였어요. 그래서 컴플레인을 포기했어요. 가능한 이 식당은 피하시고 그 백발의 남자가 있다면 더더욱 안가시는게 불쾌한 기억을 만들지 않는거에요. 알함브라보고 힘들더라도 조금 더 내려가시면 친절하고...
