We booked a junior suite with Alhambra view 3 months ago through Agoda and fully paid in advance. When we checked in, the lady in counter just told us it’s fully booked and there’s no room for us and we have to be moved to the other hotel assigned by them!! What’s the hell? I am speechless and the lady looked at my face calmly and asked “don’t you understand English?” I responded angrily because I surely understand every single words she said but I cannot understand how this thing happens in a 5 star rated hotel? She said vaguely it’s because there’s some trouble between them and Agoda. If it’s true, they should inform their guests in advance and give them the choice to refund the money and book the hotel of their own choice. On the contrary, the took your money, in stead of honoring your booking but to sale you to other hotel which doesn’t in good business. Since we only have one day in Granada and have a scheduled private tour to Alhambra at 2pm. We didn’t really have time to argue with them and they also were eager to send us away with a Taxi afraid of some other guests will witness the ugly scene. We were sent to the other very outdated hotel and we still had to pay taxi by ourselves! In conclusion, such behavior is shameless cheating and fraud. If you don’t want to run the risk of ruining your holiday mood while arriving, stay away from this...
Read moreGreat location if you want to be close to the Alhambra. Less than 5 minute walk to main entrance gate (close to Generalife) and easy 7-8 minute walk to Justice Gate (close to Alcazaba, Charles V palace, and Palacios Nazaries). ||This is also a great hotel to stay at if you have your own car. You don’t have to drive through Granada’s crazy narrow streets to get here (fairly easy access from highway) and they do offer a valet service. Make sure you book parking when making your booking if you have a car.||The downside with this location is there aren’t many restaurants around and you will need to take a taxi (usually about 5-7 euros each way) to go into downtown. There is also a city minibus option. ||We stayed in a deluxe room, which had a small couch and was slightly bigger than the standard room size. Room was nice and quiet, if a little dark. Bathroom was huge and contained a separate shower and tub.||Thought the service here was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and spoke English well. A nice touch was giving detailed directions on how to arrive by car that even contained photos. If arriving by car, there is a small pullout area, past the hotel on the right, where you can unload your luggage.||Finally, the breakfast buffet they offer is excellent, if not cheap. Lots of choices and a great way to start off your day, if touring...
