Museum of the National Library — Attraction in Madrid

To be honest the museum, in terms of collection, was average. I've added two stars because of the staff. The lady on reception/information desk was fantastic. She - will find out her name next time - went out of her way to help and direct us in an unobtrusive and charming way. Her English was perfect as was her helpful and friendly attitude. A credit to the institution. Friendly and helpful guard on security duty too. As others have mentioned it's aimed at Spanish speaking visitors so fluency is needed as exhibits are labeled in this...

Wow, what an incredible place! The building is so impressive, and the collection of artworks is truly fascinating. The architecture is simply beautiful, and you won't be able to take your eyes off everything around you. And guess what? The best part is that the entrance was free, and it felt like you had the whole place to yourself in such a huge building! Muy desagradable la experiencia, honestamente. Fuimos a la exposición de Gran Canarias, y la exposición en cuestión estuvo muy bien (por eso no le doy solo una estrella). Todos los objetos de exposición están detrás de un vidrio, y uno de nosotros toco el vidrio para señalar un objeto y se nos acercó un funcionario que de manera muy maleducada, mirándonos extremadamente mal, nos gritó que no se podía tocar ni el vidrio. Agradecería que está regla se especificará bien escrita puesto que si en algún momento hubiésemos leído que no se podía tocar ni el vidrio no lo habríamos hecho. Lo que nos quedaba de exposición fue muy desagradable y salimos con mal cuerpo. Horrible trato hacia los visitantes (que nos disculpamos y recibimos un trato sinceramente asqueroso).
